Unfortunately it seems this is unsupported now, the online play option has not worked over the last week and no word from the developer. It seems the server side of that functionality is gone so that feature is dead. Leaving this review so that anyone considering it is aware before spending money. It still works to manage audio locally, so if you want to use this with speaks for good audio during your DND session, it's fine for that, but don't expect the online functionality to work. You'll need to find an entirely separate way to share audio from your computer to friends online if you want that. Edit: It looks like this functionality has been restored - but it's worrying to see it disappear for weeks with no message/statement about it. I still can't recommend this if you are going to be specifically relying on the online game room functionality. If you intend on using this for layering audio for a stream source though, it works great.
App has been abandoned for a few years now.

For a free software this is very good. It's uncomplicated to use and is more than enough to give some light bedding music for an in person games night. I can't speak to its online functionality as I have not had need to use it. A couple of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥: - It doesn't like .wav files but online file converters are a dime a dozen - I wish that when I added a folder it would be updated automatically as I change that folder on my hard drive instead of me having to repeat the process in the program. Otherwise very happy with it and it will get a lot of use going forwards!
I appreciate the ability to create ambience even when everyone isn't at the table together.
Great for running RPG sessions. So easy to manage ambient sounds. Love that you can add your own. I just wish the creator kept on adding packs. What they have is amazing, I just wish there was more.
EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED! Perfect program for what it is meant to do.
Broken
"RPG Sounds" is not free, it's a ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY FIVE UNITED STATES DOLLAR cash grab... seriously, look at the DLC yourself. The developer wants $175 for this. It's not even clear if the developer has legal rights to distribute the sounds. What sounds? Oh yeah, this is a garbage app that lets you make noises at your players in a Dungeons and Dragons game. That's all it does. But you can't make all the sounds unless you give $175 to the developer. What a joke. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 130 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB shows this peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent users, and now there's basically nobody using it. Even though it's free, that was a dismal public reception. But if you take into account the problems I bring up in this review, it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free applications don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Only if you like giving $175 to developers to get sound samples that are probably all "borrowed" from Creative Commons or somewhere. This must be a joke, right? $175. Jesus wept.
Der Support für dieses Programm wurde eingestellt. Zitat vom offiziellen Support-Discord: "Well I got an answer. Please keep in mind I'm just the messenger....... Bottom line the service they used for the online play has not been operating consistently for a while and they do not have any plans to fix or update that. With that being said, there are a number of workarounds that I've posted that I use for my own audio streaming." Rückerstattungen für DLC's und das Programm werden konsequent abgelehnt.
