I shot the dog
Update: after a year The game showed some potential but the game seems to have been more or less abandoned. No content update since September in 2023 and the discord haven’t really been active in a long time and the last message is 5 month old. First of all sorry for the long review here but the game just have a lot of stuff I wanted to mention. I really like this game and have been supporting it since early in the alpha, I even had the opportunity to play with the devs a few times. The devs are great, gives regular updates and interacts a lot with the community on their discord server, they even had a kind of role-play/competition where the winner got to put a Easter egg in the game. They are still working on the game so patches and more content are coming regularly. The game can be played with up to 4 players in co-op and have two game modes, story and wavemode, each mode then have 4 difficulties that adds both new zombie types and map modes(like day, night, foggy) The story mode is in the style of games like After The Fall where you have to progress to through the map and defend yourself then move onto the next area to continue. The wavemode part of the game has 2 maps as of right now, a small one and a bigger one. You start with a simple pistol and have to earn money by shooting zombies and when you get enough money you can buy new weapons(right now you can buy a Desert eagle, shotgun or an uzi) or you can spin a slotmashine to roll for weapon upgrades(holo sight, bigger mags, more dmg, and more) or perks(some for just you like max health and weapon dmg or for the team like less zombies and power up duration). You also have the chance for a zombie to drop a power up to gain a temporary boost like, no reload, dualwield and one hit kill. The maps even have a jukebox so you can plast some epic tunes while slaying the undead. A few other tings worth mentioning are that the game has global leader boards for the different gamemodes both in solo and multiplayer. The games have a few trophies to collect so you can brag to you friend about after you get them. You can either host the game yourself or use the in game browsing to find other games, keep in mind that the player base isn’t very big as it is still a relatively new and unknown game so maybe join the discord and plan a gaming session with a few of other people there. TL:DR If you want to take a few friends into a museum at night and blast some epic tunes on a jukebox while slaying the undead, then you should give this game a try. Just be careful of the infected dogs and giants
The game shows potential, but it still requires further development. While I understand the challenges that small studios face, it might have been better to keep this game in Early Access (EA). Additional features are necessary to bring it up to modern standards, as it currently feels like a game from 2017. Priced at $14.99, there are redeeming qualities, but room for improvement remains. When a game exits the EA phase, regardless of its price tag, it should ideally be feature-complete. My observation pertains to the current state of the game post-EA. Had it still been in the EA stage, my perspective might differ. I've awaited the full release to voice these concerns, as the issues I'm addressing haven't seen significant changes. One essential feature lacking is manual reload, which I believe was promised for a future update. Additionally, the deagle suffers from missing textures, detracting from the overall experience. Two-handed weapon support is noticeably absent, which impacts immersion. Furthermore, there have been reports of teleportation not functioning as intended within the story mode, signaling a need for refinement in this area. In conclusion, while the game is priced reasonably at $14.99, its current status raises questions. Considering its exit from Early Access, it's fair to anticipate a higher degree of completeness. Acknowledging the potential improvements mentioned, I hope the development team takes these suggestions to heart to enhance the overall quality of the game. Lastly, I'd like to emphasize that I'm not eager to leave a negative review for small companies. My opinion is open to change based on how the game evolves over time. I'll be keeping a close eye on its progress and development, hoping to see positive changes that can alter my perspective in the future. Side note, I'd like to apologize for the length of this review, but I wanted to express my thoughts comprehensively. It's evident that I hold a genuine concern for the game's potential and the efforts of the development team. Despite the points raised, I am genuinely hopeful for the future of the game and the strides the team can make in enhancing its features and overall experience. My intention is to provide constructive feedback and see the game succeed. Here's to hoping for positive developments ahead. Best of luck to the development team!
Aiming requires unnatural wrist angles that simply HURT after 10 mins of aiming
Overall good VR coop zombie game even tho it seems pretty basic but it isnt it can be really loaded especially if u are alone or just 2 the wavemode gets really hard after certain waves didnt try it yet with more than just duo but it could be fun for even more players too . Bonus point for being able to kill the dog at the short story start but in the end Müsst ihr wissen
Hosting session doesn’t work, it doesn’t show up for anyone to join
If you're not giving the player freedom of movement in a VR game, I personally feel that you're sort of missing the point of VR. Graphics are nice but it's far from being finished.
Really Enjoying This Rogue-Like Wave Shooter Of A Game, And Who Doesn't Enjoy Blasting The Absolute Living CRUD Out Of Zombies In VR , It's A Hard Slog On Your Own The Further You Progress In The Difficulty Levels , But With Friends it's Insane FUN , FUN , FUN. Graphics And The Weapon Physics Are Really Well Done. At Present There Are 2 Maps With The Newest One Being The Museum And A Story Prologue Has Been Added, Really Hope They Plan To Add More Maps In!! Anyone Thinking Of Picking This Up , DO IT, BUY IT Now.
Not worth more then $10. First off I have a Quest 3/3080 GPU, so all testing was done with this equipment. I really like the idea and context behind this game, but... The controller was just off and you couldn't adjust the targeting for the pistol and unfortunately it's really off. I found at times I had to hyper extend my wrist just to shoot straight. I only made it 40 minutes and was done. There is no one on multiplayer so campaign is really the only option. I did wave mode first, that was a mistake do campaign it teaches you the basic, better story. But either way the wrist issue was a deal breaker for me.
I buy Rotten Apple Arcade Verson I also bought Rotten Apple Why isn't Arcade Version updated We need Arcade version sync update!!!
