It doesn't appear that many people on Steam have played this game, but, at its core, it is a word search game. Each time you complete a word search stage in Timed mode, you make part of a rosette, and you end up with a full rosette after you complete each of the three word search stages that comprise the parts of each rosette. The rosettes can be combined using an editor (once you unlock it), and this gives you the ability to create a variety of different aesthetic designs. You have the ability as you progress in the game to play in Relaxed mode, which is entirely word searches of different board sizes (your choice), and it is relaxed as opposed to being under a time limit. I highly recommend this game if you enjoy word searches, and it is well worth the $2.99 (plus whatever the tax is in your region) in USD. The music is relaxing and unobtrusive for the most part, and it is a nice complement to the game as a whole. This is not a disparaging comment, but I didn't need the addition of the rosettes in the game to enjoy it. I used the rosette editor to pick up a few achievements, and I don't intend to use it again; others may enjoy this part of the game. I will close by saying that I will keep playing this game until I reach 100% achievements, and that should take me quite a bit of time beyond my current 6.3 hours on record. It's a great game to play for a short interlude between other activities, or even longer if you feel like doing many word searches during a given session.
A lovely little wordsearch game. I was initially impressed by the options. Not only music and graphics resolution, but different colours for the letter tiles and - fantastically! - a dark background option. A really great addition that I wish more games had. The controls are easy and explained. Click and drag the words you need to find which are in a list on the left of the screen. Various stages unlock more fractals. (Wish I could remember the name of those plastic things you used to have as a kid which enabled you to draw these by hand.) Unlock so many levels and you get an editor where you can mix them. I didn't find the time limit a problem (I unlocked the editor, I'm not sure about higher levels.) A nice game with which to relax. Well worth the money.
Select the first level, words are RAS, KEX and MOTU Start again, words are LAM, TYTE and WOT Are you kidding me? Using a source dictionary this 'generous' really hurts the game.
Cholernie.
It's pretty cheap, especially during sales. It's a simple game with a rather satisfying interface. Good for a few hours of fun and thinking.
In principle, I like the concept of randomized/endless levels, but this game shows why most either don't bother, or only unlock such a mode after the premade levels are completed. Not only is every level essentially the same (other than the gradually increasing grid size), the randomized "words" are generally just gibberish and also too short. Looking for combinations like "QUG", "UMN" or "SHOR" hundreds of times feels completely pointless and unfun.
It crashed on me. Look at my playtime and decide for yourself if this game seems stable enough for you to put up with. As for the gameplay, it's rather unremarkable. I can't find a difference between my 5-10 minute session and a word search puzzle book.
This is a great word search game, easily worth the full price. It is very relaxing to play, even with a timer, and there is something very satisfying about removing the tiles around the letters as well. I also appreciate the options for both normal and night mode graphics.
It's a classic crossword puzzle that grows in size and challenge over time.
