Rock and Scroll

Played the demo of this earlier in the year and have been dying for the full game to come out. Such a great (and frustrating lol) mechanic.. you actually have to use scroll wheel on your mouse to move the rock which feels so weird at first but is super addicting. If you like games like getting over it, get to work, egging on or only up you will love this.

Loving this game, though can be a grind at times and frustrating, but completing levels is totally satisfying. Took me awhile to master the rolling technique to just enough as that one extra click over on the mouse wheel can lead you to starting all over again. Certainly enjoying myself and can see me being sucked into this for many hours.

Picked up Rock & Scroll to fill a couple hours of boredom. Its a lot of fun in that pull your hair out raging kind of way. If your into that sorta thing definitely give it a go, if your not, you should still give it a try, the control scheme is a fresh take on a tried genre. 8/10 (-1 I am now bald from the rage. -1 No googly eyes on the rock.)

WOW!!! Some games you can't put down. This is one of them! Perfect for quick blasts while you're working as well. I love the save points they are placed perfectly to save your sanity!! Do not hesitate to buy it. For this price it's a no brainer. Thanks Fowlplay for making my gloomy Wednesday morning into a joyfest (or is that mousefest)?

my fingers hurt and yet i cant seem to stop playing, can always scroll faster till i cant scroll anymore(my poor mouse) never thought being a rock could be so much fun, can highly recommend picking up this game.

This game is really frustrating in a good way. It's not like Getting Over It or Jump King where if you fall you lose all your progress, it seems split into lots of different levels, you can also quit at any time and just load back in exactly where you left of which is nice. Soundtrack is good, and controls feel really responsive. Good fun so far, looking forward to playing more.

Rock and Scroll is the kind of game that makes you question your life choices in the first five minutes, then somehow convinces you to keep going anyway. I booted it up knowing it would challenge my mental and still ended up gripping my mouse like it owed me money. Every time I thought I had the mechanics mastered and I got into a nice rhythm, the game smiled at me and whispered “nope”. Then I got to slowly watch myself hit every branch on the way down and take me back to the start like it was doing me a favor. But here’s the thing, every failure actually feels fair. Infuriating, but fair. You try to speedrun sections you think you've done a bunch of times and then mess up on the easiest little jump. BUT - when you finally clear that section you’ve been struggling with, it feels like pure victory. The kind of victory that makes you sit back, breathe out slow, and pretend you were calm the entire time. The controls are tight, the physics make sense, and the difficulty curve is the perfect blend of “I can totally do this” and “why am I like this”. Seriously though, as the blood quietly boils within, the atmosphere and music really make you feel so chill. The story is awesome too, usually these type of games don't really even have a story, basically, get to the top and "gg you win". But this makes you feel like you actually care about the character and things around you, little easter eggs dotted around, things that feel like 'side quests', it's just such a solid game. Not only is this game great for me, but the rest of my family can enjoy this too, no crazy mechanics, no 360 no scope into a dolphin dive, no flashing lights, just you, your mouse and a dream. If you enjoy games that roast your ego while somehow keeping you hooked, Rock and Scroll is absolutely worth it and for the price of a bag of sweets, you really can't complain! Last note - You get the chance to race your friends ghost (with the inbuilt speed run style settings) and climb the leaderboard. Trying to get top 5 never felt so good! Ten out of ten would rage, restart, and repeat! <3

I didn't expect much from a game that literally lets you play as a rock, but honestly, it is amazing! The levels are simple but very satisfying. The Physics feel spot on, the little environmental details keep it interesting. It is low stress, oddly meditative and way more strategic than it looks. If you want a game that is different, relaxing and surprisingly clever, this is it.
