An emotional dark comedy about robots doing therapy. In Robotherapy, you're a robot therapist in a dystopian society that killed all the humans, but is still not happy. Treat patients, meet weird robots and enter their minds. If killing all humans doesn't bring happiness, then what does?

After playing/reading a recent Lucas's game (Firelore: the short tails) and enjoying this short visual novelette format, i became curious enough to take a look at Robotherapy. And my impressions are... Warm and positive. Playful pixel art style and minigames-metaphors nicely complement the story, which feels light at first but discusses serious topics: depression, self-acceptance, living with ones past. Go for it if you're into a nice story, and don't mind clicking through it.
There are defenitely good concepts and nice art but the execution is flawed. You are basically pressing yout left mouse button to pass dialogues and scenes for an hour and a half, without an actual gameplay (but a minute dodging objects on a road) and a full explanation of what is going, every single minute. I'd recommend it only for those curious on the ideas presented, few pun lines, or to see the art. Otherwise, you will disappointed because it lacks gameplay and a compelling story.
This is essentually a multiple-choice story, but I only played it through once. It simply wasn't interesting enough to try out some different answers. While the story is a mix of psychology-light with a somewhat funny backdrop (robots have killed all humans but are still frustrated with their lives afterwards), it's not really that original. The dialogue is tedious, the plot 'twist' was introduced way too soon and didn't really have much impact, and the characters are almost stereotypical. Even for the low price, I cannot recommend the game and had expected a much better polished story.
消沉了很多天,感谢这个游戏拯救了我一下 时隔很多天又来看了,确实就像有条评测说的那样,是很长时间以来看过的最接近therapy的东西:)对我来说很有意义
I love a humour to existential dread pipeline. This game was very fun and very sweet! I enjoyed it a lot.
gioco molto carino, breve e storia divertente. giocabile senza problemi su steam deck
Short heartfelt silly game that'll teach you some therapy basics if you're open to them. Grab it on a sale or at full price if you want to support the solo dev :3
I really enjoyed this game, it was introspective in a way that anyone could both enjoy it and think at the same time. I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys dark humor and likes to be deeply connected to the storyline. There are some twists but more than anything it's almost like a short therapy session. To me i could compare it to cognitive therapy, but that is because i've been going to a cognitive therapist for a couple years now. Again, I highly recommend it. It's short, sweet and funny. It took only 59 minutes to get through at a steady pace.
It's basically a pixel art comic book that loads text on button press. If you are aware of what you should expect from this, and what not, it's a nice, short and cozy experience. Took me ~80 minutes to finish.
it' s quite ok , i believe you can finish it in 2h if u read fast enough . It s just a simple story with some jokes and weird humor , the art style is not the greatest and the story it self is not amazing but if you just want to go through something chill and slightly deep about psychology , this is the right game for you. Personally i would not buy it tho.
