Daumen Hoch !

Srácok, sok minden lehetett volna ebből a játékból.
Robin Hood - Sherwood Builders doesn’t do anything offensively bad, but it also doesn’t do much well enough to justify the time. The building is underwhelming. The combat is rough. Movement feels clunky. Crafting is functional but not interesting. None of it is broken in some hilarious disaster way, but almost every system feels like it needed more time, polish, or a stronger reason to exist. The whole thing lands somewhere between a single-A and double-A experience: ambitious enough to have a lot of pieces, but not refined enough for those pieces to be satisfying. And with the absurd number of survival, crafting, building, and open-world games on Steam, “not terrible” just isn’t enough. I don’t hate it. I just don’t think it’s worth your time.
Robin Hood: Sherwood Builders – Bandit's Trail serves as a standalone prologue that offers players an early look at the ambitious ideas behind the full Robin Hood: Sherwood Builders experience. Developed by MeanAstronauts and published by PlayWay S.A. and Ritual Interactive, the game presents a fresh interpretation of the legendary outlaw by combining action RPG mechanics, open-world exploration, crafting, survival elements, and settlement management into a single adventure. Rather than focusing exclusively on Robin's skill with a bow, the game emphasizes his role as a protector of the oppressed and a leader determined to unite ordinary people against the Sheriff's cruel rule. This narrative direction gives the adventure a stronger emotional foundation while remaining faithful to the spirit of the classic legend. The story takes place during the early stages of Robin Hood's rebellion, introducing players to the forests and villages surrounding Sherwood while gradually assembling the famous Merry Men. Familiar characters such as Little John, Lady Marian, Friar Tuck, Allan-a-Dale, and Will Scarlet appear throughout the journey, helping establish the relationships that define the legendary band of outlaws. Missions revolve around aiding struggling villagers, rescuing those in need, gathering allies, and striking back against corrupt authorities. Instead of simply moving from battle to battle, the campaign creates a satisfying sense of purpose by making every completed objective contribute to the growth of Robin's resistance movement. Gameplay blends several mechanics that complement one another surprisingly well. Exploration rewards players who venture away from the main path, uncovering hidden resources, side activities, wildlife, and useful crafting materials scattered throughout the environment. Combat offers flexibility by supporting direct melee encounters, ranged archery, and stealth-oriented approaches depending on the player's preferred style. Resource gathering, hunting, crafting equipment, and collecting supplies all feed into both character progression and settlement development, creating an interconnected gameplay loop that encourages experimentation rather than repetitive grinding. While each individual system may not be revolutionary on its own, their combination creates a rewarding sense of progression throughout the prologue. One of the game's most distinctive features is its settlement-building system. Instead of merely improving Robin's personal abilities, players are tasked with developing a refuge for the growing population seeking safety from oppression. Constructing buildings, managing available resources, and expanding the camp transforms the settlement from a small hideout into a thriving community. This feature adds strategic depth that separates the game from more traditional action RPGs, while reinforcing the central theme of rebuilding hope rather than simply defeating enemies. Watching the settlement evolve alongside Robin's reputation gives players tangible evidence that their efforts are making a meaningful difference within the world. The presentation successfully captures the atmosphere of medieval England through expansive forests, rustic villages, and detailed natural environments that reinforce the setting's adventurous tone. The landscapes invite exploration while providing plenty of opportunities for hunting, gathering, and discovering hidden locations. Character designs and animations are respectable for an independent production, and although occasional technical imperfections reveal the game's modest development scale, they rarely overshadow its strengths. Ambient sounds, environmental effects, and the musical score complement the world effectively, creating a believable backdrop for Robin Hood's growing rebellion. As a free prologue, Bandit's Trail understandably offers only a portion of the complete experience. Some progression systems conclude before reaching their full potential, and players may find themselves wanting more just as the world begins to open up. Even so, the available content feels substantial enough to demonstrate the core mechanics and overall vision behind the full release. It succeeds as more than a simple teaser by providing a satisfying standalone adventure that showcases the game's mixture of storytelling, exploration, combat, survival, and settlement management. Robin Hood: Sherwood Builders – Bandit's Trail stands out by treating the Robin Hood legend as more than a simple action story. Its combination of role-playing progression, strategic community building, survival mechanics, and open-world exploration creates an experience that feels both familiar and refreshingly different. While there is still room for refinement in certain mechanics and technical execution, the prologue effectively demonstrates the potential of the complete game and leaves a strong impression. Players looking for a medieval adventure that values leadership, resourcefulness, and meaningful progression will find plenty to appreciate in this introduction. Rating: 8/10
