Ritual Night

RItual Night is one of the most inventive and well thought out of the Among Us clones (at least, that I've looked at). It's definitely "a game like that one" but what it does different does a lot to really strengthen the play experience. Notably: Rather than just going until a body is found or someone calls a meeting, the game goes in rounds with everyone meeting up at the conclusion of a round. All tasks grant items that contribute to a ritual attempted at the meetup at the end of a round. The goal isn't to complete tasks just to complete tasks, but to get the right items to successfully complete the ritual. Death is neither permanent nor overly debilitating. Players can resurrect each other, with death just preventing you from completing tasks. (And possibly locking you out of the meet up -- but only for that round!) There's a host of NPC monsters milling about that make it much harder to spot a disguised impostor (humans in this game). This puts the focus on impostors (humans) sabotaging and stealing from other players, rather than just killing them. All this adds up to a game where the social aspect is much more interwoven with the gameplay -- you need to communicate to find which tasks give the right items! -- rather than having each aspect be kind of separated. Beyond that, this is a game where things stay competitive even with smaller groups. Games of 6+ players may be optimal, but I've played 3 monster/2 human games and had a good time. That's a major step up from Among Us proper, which really needs 6 players at a minimum but ideally involves a crowd of 8 or 10. Minor complaints: Voice chat in meetings is a little soft. Voice chat in the lobby should probably not be proximity based.

Such an amazing social game. If you like Among Us at all, this one right here tops that. The minigames are challenging and fun. Oh and voice chat! The voice chat adds that special kick that Among Us lacks. The idea that it's the humans who are the villains of the story is a nice twist. The cosmetics are plentiful and very cool. Simply, you will be missing out if you don't snag a copy of this.

It’s like a wild mix of a murder mystery and a detective game, where your instincts and wits are put to the test every round. The gameplay is all about figuring out who’s messing things up, completing rituals, and deciding who you can trust – or more likely, who you can’t. Every round is different, and the unpredictable player dynamics make it impossible to get too comfortable. It’s frustrating in the best way possible and keeps you on your toes the whole time. What makes this game so fun is how simple it is to jump into, but once you’re playing, you realize there’s a lot more going on. You’re constantly reading people, second-guessing decisions, and trying to make sense of the madness. It’s chaotic, but it’s the good kind of chaos that makes you want to hit “ready” for the next match. The vibe of the game is spot-on, too. The creepy setting, eerie music but fun, and overall dark aesthetic pull you in and set the mood perfectly for a night of suspicion and betrayal. It feels like Among Us or Town of Salem, but with a more haunting, intense edge. If there’s one thing to keep in mind, it’s that the game can feel overwhelming at first. But honestly, once you get the hang of the rules (and embrace the insanity), it’s a blast. Grab some friends, join an active lobby, and you’re guaranteed a fun time. Bottom line: if you love social deduction games or just want something new that’s unpredictable and exciting, give Ritual Night a shot. You won’t regret it. definitely was confused at first but this game is so cute and fun! those mini games are really nice :) excited to play more!

I think this game is a better social deduction game than Among Us. You don't need as many played to still have a fun match (which is good because this game is pretty dead). Plus the tasks (which are more like carnival games) are really fun; you can practice them outside of the game and compete for the best times. 8/10

Ritual Night is a captivating blend of mystery, horror, and puzzle-solving, set in a beautifully atmospheric, gothic world. The game excels in storytelling, drawing players into a dark narrative filled with ancient rituals and morally complex choices.

I have been playing this game since the demo was out and I have been loving it! It's a super fun game for game night with my friends, and the fact that there is so many ways to be deceptive without getting caught makes it fun til the end! Would highly recommend for friend groups looking for their next game night game!
