Regardless of whether it is your first rodeo, or you're a seasoned bounty hunter, this game will have you having blast with buddies on a couch. Rounds a nice and short and evolve naturally and make for a great little party game. Equally fitting is the combat, which is chaotic as much as it is hilarious. Can't go wrong with this one!

Really fun party game! Played it during a western themed gaming event and it was a blast. Easy to pick up so anyone can have fun. The chaos makes it fun and the short rounds don't overstay their welcome. The developers of the game are also very active on the discord and try to improve the game frequently. So most of the bugs from the beta have been fixed.

A relentless ricochet riot that gets better - and more hectic - as the rounds continue. The ease with which you can die makes this a lot more newbie-friendly than your standard fighting games, as the playing field is a lot more level - and the physics (especially with the shotgun!) add a touch of hilarity to the mix. You can easily entertain yourself and friends for the price of a coffee with this indie brawler. Absolutely worth it!

Ricochet Rodeo ist ein simples Chaos-Multiplayer-Spiel, d.h. es lebt von der schnellen, chaotischen Action. Dabei spielt man einen Cowboy, der versucht, sich gegen andere Cowboys zu behaupten. Das tut man hauptsächlich mit einer Schusswaffe, die nur einige wenige Schuss hat, bevor man wieder laden. Alternativ gibt es auch noch Messer und TNT. Der grosse Gag bei den Schusswechseln ist dabei, dass die Schüsse auch überall abprallen und so zu Querschlägern werden können, die auch einen selbst treffen können. Das alles sorgt denn auch tatsächlich für ziemlich herrliches Chaos und kurzweilige Action. Dass die Runden relativ kurz sind, macht das Ganze erst recht superkurzweilig. Zur Einfachheit passt auch die sehr einfache Pixelgrafik und das doch sehr einfache Sounddesign. Wäre alles ok, wenn das Spiel wirklich länger Spass macht. Und ja, ich denke das könnte sehr spassig sein, wenn man gegen echte Menschen im Couch-Coop spielt. Das ist mir leider nicht möglich also brauche ich die Alternativen, die mir das Spiel bietet. Da ist zum einen der Multiplayer. Nur ist dieser wie bei allen solchen Kleinstspielen: Töter als jeder durchsiebte Cowboy. Bei all meinen Versuchen habe ich keinen einzen Spieler angetroffen. Bleibt die Möglichkeit mit Bots zu spielen. Und das klappt tatsächlich erstaunlich gut und macht auch Laune... ...für eine Partie oder zwei. Und dann wird die Sache sehr schnell, superöde und repetitiv. Und ganz ehrlich: Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass es selbst mit echten menschlichen Mitspielern wirklich anders aussieht. Denn es gibt keine wirkliche Abwechslung, es gibt keinerlei Progression oder Freischaltungen, es gibt keine unterschiedlichen Modi, es gibt nicht einmal irgendwelche speziellen Best-of-X Wettbewerbe, nur plump eine Partie nach der anderen. Alles schön und nett, aber neee, das macht keinen Spass. So sehr ich sehe, dass die Entwickler hier ein relativ rundes Gesamtpaket abgeliefert haben, so sehr ist für mich aber auch klar, dass sie dieses Gesamtpaket zu klein geschnürt haben, sodass der unterhaltsame Effekt nach viel zu kurzer Zeit verpufft. Fazit: Wer ein cooles Spiel für vielleicht 10-20 Minuten (maximum) Couch-Coop-Action sucht, der darf einen Blick auf Ricochet Rodeo werfen. Danach ist aber die Luft draussen. Für alle anderen, ist wird die an sich witzige Action noch schneller alt. Darum keine Empfehlung.
