[b]What more do you want?[/b][/h1] [u]Indie[/u] David Snopek via his indie studio [i]Snopek Games[/i] put his heart and soul into this game, listens to community feedback, facilitates community play sessions, and has made a solid ,b.retro style[/b] game. Unlike "Triple A" games that are released with a thin veneer of flashiness but no soul, this is the 180º opposite. Everything about this game screams care, craftsmanship - and collaboration with the community. [u]Retro[/u] I don't know what other people think of when they hear the word "retro", but to me it evokes feelings of the late 80's, early 90's GOLDEN AGE of gaming. Back in the days before every style of game had a label, new styles were being tried, creativity was welcomed, admired, and sought-after. It's all of that with the niceties of the 2020's: no blowing on the cartridge, no sharing the family TV set, no NTSC scan lines, HD resolutions, modern (comfortable) controller support. Our nostalgia often clouds how bad those old TV's were on our eyes and how blister-filled our hands became with rounds on those old Atari or NES controllers! [u]Tanks[/u] A simple metaphor used as a jumping off point for all sorts of interesting gameplay. Anyone from ages 4-144 can play this and have a [b]blast![/b] (pun shamelessly and totally intended!) This game works with both keyboard and mouse but also modern "tank control" game controllers. And the power ups! With more on the way!!! [u]Party!!!![/u] Many "retro" games miss the mark on this aspect. To me, video games are about collaboration, competition, and camaraderie. There is nothing fulfilling about conquering your 8-bit adversary. Squaring off for a few rounds against your co-workers, siblings, kids, or anyone else that you can connect with is just gold! Moving an 8/16-bit style game into the modern era allows for amazing real-time Internet connectivity. As we've seen over the past year, it's things like this that can be invaluable in tying us back to our family and friends. So, while I can't sit in my 90's "Sega Chair" and scream "OK Reset" or "Hope Youi're Not Tired" to my friends, I can ping them any time of day or night to see if they are up for a round of [b]Retro Tank Party[/b]! Highly Recommend.

For those of us that miss the old tank games, Retro Tank Party hits that nostalgia quite nicely while also offering some modern improvements: online!, tracing bullets!, various game modes!, etc!. For players not familiar with the old tank games, they'll still be up and running fast. Over the last few weeks I've gotten some chances to play the beta and, now, the released version. It's been a lot of fun and I have been getting better... but so too, unfortunately, have others. This is a problem but perhaps not the game's. Still it's fun to figure out various little strategies. All in all, definitely worth a few bucks. And sounds like there are plans for more features over the coming while. Excited to follow this!

But it doesn't end there, it gets worse. You can't try to play this game without entering some personally identifying information like your Steam ID and your email address. This is completely unwarranted and highly suspicious, to the point I reported this game to Valve. I strongly recommend nobody should provide personally identifying information to Snopek Games. The developer admits to a potential and serious violation of the MIT open source license by charging for open source code ripped off from other developers. The lack of ethics here is cemented by the way this copyright violation was dumped into bundles like DailyIndieGame. The developer admits to taking actions specifically aimed towards harvesting data from Steam gamers. There's no justification provided for this consumer hostile activity. My warnings remain relevant and I'll be reaching out to the copyright holders shortly. Edit: The developer now admits they took open source code and tried to sell it for money on Steam and through DailyIndieGame.. Whether this violates the MIT license isn't wholly relevant, as you can see just how unethical this individual is. [b]It's wrong to take the work of others and sell it as your own.[/b]

Retro Tank Party game is a blast! (Get it? Because tanks?) 2 player is a tense game of cat-and-mouse, while 4 player is unbridled chaos. There are awesome power-ups like a spread gun and tank-seeking tracer bullets, and the developer has said he plans to add more. We got to alpha test bouncing lasers on stream this morning, and there are more power-ups and maps in the works too. There are a few different modes, like Battle Royale and Deathmatch, and each has its own feel and strategy to it. The game is simple enough for kids, but deep enough for serious shooter fans. My advice: 1. Buy a copy 2. Make 3 friends who buy 3 more copies 3. Go ruin your new friendships! (I received a free copy for participating in the beta tests, but this game is well worth the price. Support your friendly local indie dev and buy it now.)

I was browsing the Steam® Store Page and came across this eye-catching game. I quickly exclaimed to my colleague that we must buy and then download this game at once. At the time of purchase it was approximately 22:55 hours, and we were running low on energy. Deprived of our main source of energy, cans of Pepsi®, we thought this game would suffice by bringing us together, and fulfilling the gaping hole in our souls. We launched the game, our ears were deafened by the obnoxious sound of the game intro, because our system volume is much too high for our human ears. We eagerly jumped into a game, only to extremely disappointed. First off, the controls are worse than Wii Play Tanks®, which is the standard to which we were holding this game to. Hoping, perhaps, that the gameplay would help us overlook the horrendous movement. We were wrong. Anyways, I will not by refunding this game even though I wanted to burn my eyes out with blowtorch. My colleague describes the pain as "I want to burn my eyes out with my fists". I cannot believe this game exists. Solid 7.5/10

Very fun game to play with friends. The game has a really smooth feel to it in the way the tank controls. Nice art and catchy music. Low enough price point that you can gift a copy to a friend for an afternoon of mayhem.

Мертворожденная игра с нулевым онлайном. Это настолько смешно, что уже не смешно. Меня от таких разработчиков в дрожь бросает. Жадные, тупые, безмозглые, недалекие. Я даже не буду пытаться задавать вопрос "а зачем и для кого они это сделали?" ибо ответ очевиден "а ...уй его знает". Мусор, который забивает ленту Стим с разрешения компании Valve.

This game has pretty awful controls which can't be changed which is a shame. This game feels very incomplete overall. If you want a good tank game go play wii play with the tanks minigame. This game should be FREE. Maybe add bots, a challenge arena, fix the awful camera shake when getting hit, maybe zoom the camera out a bit so i am not blindly running around.
