Resident Evil Requiem, aka RE9, is a love letter to Resident Evil as a whole (but mainly RE2). This is the Resident Evil title that tries to take everything good from every single mainline Resident Evil game (yes, even RE6) and apply it to itself, and I must say, it works really well. The Leon sections are like playing a mix of RE4R and RE6 Leon, while the Grace sections are like playing a slower version of RE7 and RE2R. The game takes elements from all the other titles, it is a very "Resident Evil Lore" heavy game, so you'll love it if you're a big RE fan. But that doesn't mean you won't enjoy it or understand it if you're a first-time player, though. Actually, RE9 is a great game to introduce people to the franchise, since it foreshadows all the aspects the series has to offer: horror, action, and the different balances between the two in each game. If you really want to play the most important game tied to this one beforehand, you should play RE2R. And for those who played RE2 or RE2R (especially those who played them a long time ago) this game will, in a certain way, make you nostalgic. Honestly, my only complaint is the health system in the Leon sections. It feels like Leon loses health too quickly but also gets way too many healing items, instead of having a slightly more complex health system like the other Resident Evil games featuring Leon. That might just be my opinion, though. Maybe it was based more on RE6's health system. Still, it's a minor complaint. The action is great, the horror is great, those are the most important aspects of every Resident Evil game, and both excel in this one. On top of that, the game expands the Resident Evil lore significantly, which is also really important on the memorable RE games. I'd say this is basically a 10 out of 10 game, not just as a Resident Evil title, but as a video game itself.

Velmi povedené vydání ze série Resident Evil. Mohu doporučit, jediná věc co mě celkem štve a za kterou bych shodil body je nevyváženost gameplaye co se týká hraní za Alyssu Ashcroft v medical centru. Je někdy velice těžké se posunout dál.

I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love this game, it only has that one boring ass part like every RE game I've played, but other than that this one is a masterpiece, To me it is better than RE4 because it feels like a version of it mixed with RE7, The story the new characters the gameplay the sound and level design is definetly top tier for anyone who wants to enjoy a horror game. If you dare play it alone in the dark while being stoned like a statue for best atmospheric experience. Love this game, it made me overcome and numb the painful ache of spending 80 bucks for the deluxe edition. Ps, The optimization for this game is immaculate, Capcom cares for the PC gamer and puts out a polished game,
