“Seven minutes. Seven minutes is all I can spare to write this review.” Alright, let’s get into it. Pros: It’s a good action game. I’ll give it that. Bringing back the RE Village music during Chris’s final section? Nice touch. The RPD section was great. Probably my favorite part. Cons: The game is way too short, and the weapon progression feels kinda pointless. Grace’s attachment to Emily… I just don’t buy it. The enemy designs? Not exactly breaking new ground. Puzzles? Where are they? And the dialogue…. Sometimes the game explains something, then explains what it just explained, just in case you somehow missed it. That’s enough. I’ll stop here, cuz if I keep going, I’m gonna need more than seven minutes.

RE 9 made me want to play other chapters, defo recommend.
Resident Evil Requiem is a superb return to form for Capcom’s survival horror series. Its biggest strength is the contrast between Grace Ashcroft and Leon S. Kennedy: Grace’s sections focus on tension, limited resources, exploration and classic survival horror, while Leon brings a faster, more combat-driven approach to the campaign. That balance works exceptionally well. Requiem shifts between vulnerability and power without either side feeling out of place, creating a pace that keeps the campaign consistently engaging. The first- and third-person perspectives also complement the different gameplay styles and give the experience welcome flexibility. Atmosphere is another major strength. Detailed environments, strong lighting and carefully staged encounters make the game feel oppressive without relying on cheap scares. Combined with puzzles, resource management and substantial combat encounters, Requiem delivers a well-rounded Resident Evil experience. Most importantly, Capcom has found an effective middle ground between the series’ survival-horror roots and its modern action elements. Resident Evil Requiem is polished, atmospheric and confidently designed: a worthy new chapter for one of gaming’s defining horror franchises.
