Rendezvous is a chill game and has good audio. It's stylish with a beautiful city (Bay City California). The controls are simple and easy to pick up, making the game easy to finish. Although it's visually appealing, its very short since it’s just a prologue, and the story didn’t really grab me. It’s not something I’d play again, as it can feel a bit boring after the first run. I’d say it’s worth trying once for the style and the city, but beyond that, there isn’t much replay value. If you want easy achievements and a 100% to show off, this game is definitely for you Rating: 3/10
Rendezvous: Shadows of the Past, developed by Pendopo Creations and published by Hitcents, is a compact cyber-noir adventure that blends narrative-driven exploration with puzzle-solving and occasional stealth elements. Framed as a prologue, it doesn’t attempt to deliver a fully expansive story, but instead offers a focused introduction to a world shaped by personal conflict, technological tension, and quiet emotional undercurrents. Even within its limited scope, it manages to leave a distinct impression through its atmosphere and stylistic choices. The story follows Setyo, a seemingly ordinary security guard whose life begins to unravel as fragments of his past resurface, particularly those involving his missing sister. The narrative leans into noir-inspired storytelling, emphasizing introspection, regret, and the slow uncovering of hidden truths. Rather than relying on dramatic spectacle, it builds its tone through smaller, more personal moments. However, the pacing can feel uneven, as the game moves quickly through key developments, occasionally leaving important details underexplored. While the central mystery is engaging, it often feels like the beginning of a larger narrative rather than a fully realized arc. Gameplay is built around a mix of exploration and interaction, with players navigating environments, examining objects, and solving puzzles to progress. The puzzle design is generally intuitive, often requiring observation and logical thinking rather than guesswork. Hacking sequences and environmental interactions provide variety, keeping the experience from becoming too repetitive. These elements are where the game feels most confident, offering a steady sense of progression and engagement. The inclusion of stealth and light combat introduces additional layers to the gameplay, but these aspects are less consistent in execution. While they add tension and variety, they can feel less refined than the core puzzle mechanics. Movement and responsiveness in these segments are sometimes uneven, which can disrupt the overall flow. Instead of enhancing the experience, these sections occasionally feel like interruptions, highlighting a lack of cohesion between the different gameplay systems. Where the game truly stands out is in its presentation. The pixel art is richly detailed, combining retro-inspired visuals with modern lighting techniques to create a vivid cyberpunk setting. The depiction of a futuristic Southeast Asian environment gives the game a unique identity, setting it apart from more generic interpretations of the genre. Neon-lit streets, layered interiors, and subtle environmental details all contribute to a world that feels immersive despite the game’s relatively small scale. The audio design complements this visual style effectively. The soundtrack leans into electronic and synth-driven tones, reinforcing the cyber-noir atmosphere without overwhelming the experience. Sound cues are also used to support gameplay, particularly during stealth segments, adding a functional layer to the overall design. Together, the visuals and audio create a cohesive aesthetic that remains one of the game’s strongest elements. One of the most noticeable limitations is its brevity. As a prologue, the game is intentionally short, offering only a glimpse of its broader narrative and mechanics. While this makes it accessible and easy to complete, it also means that many of its ideas are only partially developed. Characters, themes, and systems are introduced but not fully explored, leaving a sense of incompleteness that may frustrate players expecting a more substantial experience. Despite this, Rendezvous: Shadows of the Past succeeds in establishing a compelling foundation. Its combination of atmospheric storytelling, engaging puzzle design, and distinctive presentation creates a memorable experience, even if it lacks full cohesion. It feels like a promising introduction rather than a complete work, hinting at greater depth that could be realized in a longer, more developed entry. In the end, the game is best appreciated as a narrative teaser—an experience that invites players into its world and leaves them wanting more. For fans of cyberpunk settings and story-driven adventures, it offers enough substance to be worthwhile, even if its short length and uneven mechanics hold it back from reaching its full potential. Rating: 7/10

The game is pretty boring if you ask me. There’s not a lot to do, and most of the time you’re just walking around. It’s also very short, but it’s fine if you just want to grab all the achievements and hit 100% completion. That said, the graphics are cute, and the buildings and locations are really well done. I love the aesthetic, the cars and people moving around, the random graffiti, even the street characters. It all gives the world a lively, busy city vibe. In conclusion, it’s a decent, short little game. Kind of like a snack you eat because it’s there, not because you’re hungry.

Simplesmente perdendo TODO O PROGRESSO... Daí desisti. Apensar do bugs, que irritam bastante e ferem a gameplay, o jogo é bem agradável e desafiador. Ficarei aguardando algum patch de atualização para prosseguir.
Jogo muito bem montado com uma ótima pixel art, as ações são divertidas e desafiadoras. A história é muito boa, super recomendo se você quer um pouco de aventura cyberpunk!
Before I played Rendezvous: Shadows of the Past, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
