bought this game like 4 years ago, this game is exactly what i want from city building game when i was a little middle schooler, looking around the town as playable character seeing the town folk doing their own thing, its cheap and fun, i recommend checking it out, its quite hard, but still fun, quite a shame the dev abonded it, it had a really cool concept
Mix of Stronghold, They are Bilions with some third person action combat thrown into a mix. Very enojyable and for this price it's a steal. Overall 9/10 i would kite barbarians around their camp again.
Don't let the title graphics scare you away, this is actually a really solid city builder/wave defense game that's easy to sink time into. As a city builder it's essentially an Anno game with Stronghold's economy and Kingdoms & Castles' aesthetics. As a base defense game it's a RTS-RPG mashup where you can control hero characters in 3rd person. Everything seems balanced reasonably well. Really the only negative is that it crashes occasionally.

This here is an ambitious combination of very different genres, jumping from strategy / city builder to 3rd person hero while fighting wave after wave of enemy attackers. It's easy and simple to play after understanding the basics. While the combat can feel a bit clunky sometimes, it doesn't detract from the immersion and the fun of joining the battles in person instead of just watching from a far away camera.
Game is AWSOME !!!! It is close to They are Billions but with own unique featuers and arcedish battles in 3rd person. So let`s make it even better with our proposuals for improvemants. My list: 1) single button for opening ALL the gates in a settlemant 2) button for swictching between Heroes in 3d person fighting mode 3) drop cost of wood for wooden wall to 1 cause now it is too expensive for too small deffense 4) explain that it is possible to place few mines near 1 source of material 5) idle/active status of a selected production building in a status bar 6) possibility to upgrade your squads from militia to guard and knights. Otherwise militia is ussless 7) more xp levels for the unit promotions 8) opportunity to reppair selected buildings 9) increese % of weapon and spec ability of the hero to spawn (now it is too rear) 10) upgreadable production buildings (smelter, smiths, brewary, backery etc) 11) upgradable deffense (walls & towers) 12) indacate ammount of resource production for all the resources, not only gold
TL:DR Dark souls meets Age of Empires the indie science experiment Great game, feels like tech demo a bit the dev was definetly experimenting with mechanics here. I think this has plenty of potential. I really wish there's gonna be a sequel for it because it deserves one for sure. With the current mechanics polished further it would be so cool. One tip for the dev if you want low poly graphix that is not an eyesore use Playstation 1 (PSX) graphix. With the right style and a UI that feels and sound like and old game it could a smash hit. I will be looking forward to your future games Matey.
some good hours of gaming here
The game is basic and simple in every single aspect of it. Absolutely nothing revolutionary. But sometimes "simple is best" as the Japanese like to say. I mean, maybe it has a creative concept not really explored in big games, which is makes it interesting. Anyway, the gameplay is like this: Build to gather resources, use resources to recruit units, survive the wave. That's mostly it. You can explore the map a little bit in between the waves to kill neutrals, too. One interesting points about the game: It is really basic and not polished, which makes it really punishing. You mess up, it's on you, the game developer did not create any way for you notice the absolute crap you are doing. You can only accept your mistakes and sell buildings to try to salvage the situation. A few tips: Heavy Cavalry sucks, imo, because you need numbers in your army (due to how combat works). Replayability is key, rewards from a game can used in a new one. Units are the best reward in my opinion. Use strong rewarded units to buy time during the first waves while you manage the buildings. Only then start recruiting. I used 2 champions and 1 Minotaur to beat the game in Hard mode. 3 Champions is extremely strong and buys you a lot of time. Don't mess up, though, because rewards can be used only once. Finally, treat this game as an Arcade game. Just like older games. A tower defense with simple base building and replayability. It can entertain you for quite a while and have different challenges (like the random map generator). It is cheap anyway.
simple and fun, also relaxing.
