Great fun
This is a good game for its price its a gem.
bought this game like 4 years ago, this game is exactly what i want from city building game when i was a little middle schooler, looking around the town as playable character seeing the town folk doing their own thing, its cheap and fun, i recommend checking it out, its quite hard, but still fun, quite a shame the dev abonded it, it had a really cool concept
Game is AWSOME !!!! It is close to They are Billions but with own unique featuers and arcedish battles in 3rd person. So let`s make it even better with our proposuals for improvemants. My list: 1) single button for opening ALL the gates in a settlemant 2) button for swictching between Heroes in 3d person fighting mode 3) drop cost of wood for wooden wall to 1 cause now it is too expensive for too small deffense 4) explain that it is possible to place few mines near 1 source of material 5) idle/active status of a selected production building in a status bar 6) possibility to upgrade your squads from militia to guard and knights. Otherwise militia is ussless 7) more xp levels for the unit promotions 8) opportunity to reppair selected buildings 9) increese % of weapon and spec ability of the hero to spawn (now it is too rear) 10) upgreadable production buildings (smelter, smiths, brewary, backery etc) 11) upgradable deffense (walls & towers) 12) indacate ammount of resource production for all the resources, not only gold
TL:DR Dark souls meets Age of Empires the indie science experiment Great game, feels like tech demo a bit the dev was definetly experimenting with mechanics here. I think this has plenty of potential. I really wish there's gonna be a sequel for it because it deserves one for sure. With the current mechanics polished further it would be so cool. One tip for the dev if you want low poly graphix that is not an eyesore use Playstation 1 (PSX) graphix. With the right style and a UI that feels and sound like and old game it could a smash hit. I will be looking forward to your future games Matey.
I like this game. Haven't played it much yet but it's good.
I love the animation of the units and the way they fight. Makes me remember dawn of war in some way. The game is satisfying and fun to play, althought you might need 1 test game to understand how it goes. If the graphics and base building are a bit improved (same style but better texture for the envrionement and buildings, for example), this game would be a killer. It was a surprisingly good discovery for me, maybe it will be for you too. I hope there will be a follow up.
Alright, if you excuse the Indy jank and the.... unfortunately lacking documentation this game is like...really fun. It gives some old AOE 1 vibes but like how you thought AOE 1 was as an 8 year old.
Great game if you are into rouge like strategy games. A little bit of balancing might be beneficial as some of your available units are just plain waste of money and some are too good for their price. Namely, ranged units should be evaded at all cost. Third person control of your heroes are a must to win efficiently.
