Redumption

An evil witch has cursed the town, and turned everyone into garbage! But a good witch has chosen a hero to, quite literally, TAKE OUT THE TRASH! You wander around town, beating up rats, slimes, and birds, as you hunt for the 4 items that will turn your friends back to normal. Each of the items is held by a boss...who's just a big version of a regular enemy, and is pretty easy to beat. As you get items, give em back to their owners, and the power of friendship-or-something will make you stronger! After restoring all your friends, all that's left is to give the witch a taste of YOUR broom! I wondered if this was going to have an in-your-face environmentalist message or something, but no, just a battle against a trash-witch. Color me relieved! The game has a nice big, colorful environment. It probably SMELLS horrible, but looks great! There's even fast-travel, to make returning the items easier. Your player-character has pretty much no design, but your friends all have a 2D VN-ish look to them, they look good, but kinda clash with the rest of the artstyle...not a bad thing tho. The combat is just swinging your broom, to either smack dudes, or smack their projectiles back at 'em. Gotta admit, taking seagulls out with their own poo is quite satisfying. The health-ups in this are GIANT VITAMIN GUMMI BEARS, which is just about the best health-up ever! One odd mechanic is being able to clean up certain trash piles with your attack, it's odd because it's seemingly pointless...you don't get any rewards/pickups for doing it...then again, maybe that's commentary. I should mention as my only semi-nitpick, that the game lists "combat or stealth", there really isn't any stealth other than just walking around the mobs....not that I'd do stealth anyway tho. I won in a little under 30min, and had a nice time! If you want a quick adventure in a nice environment, it's a good play. If you wanna run errands for a half-eaten hamburger, it's literally the only game I can recommend.
