Tags: Platformer Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: No out of box Xbox360 pad support. Hidden spike traps felt poorly displayed rather than hidden. Weak writing. Long floaty jumps platforming. Looks great on screenshots, little red goblin platformer in a forest. Supposedly some abilities that you use gems to cast. In practice though you get no Xbox 360 controller support. Control scheme is madness... arrows. S for jump and A to push crates. The screen does not scroll and instead just transitions from area to area forcing you to do a ton of blind jumping. The game hides spike traps inside scenery and they are invisible basically one-shotting you very cheaply unless you memorize where they are. The writing is pretty weak. The platforming involves long loose jumps with dubious amount of granular control. Music is surpsingly unpleasant high pitched piano notes
I bought this game forever ago because it looked cute and was cheap. after like 7 years I decided to revist it again because I remember getting stuck at one point. I was not expecting the controls to be this flimsy and floaty, I was constantly jumping into unforeseeable traps or enemies, I never knew where the heck I was at any given moment. The gameplay is not rewarding or fun whatsoever. Do not buy.
Utter garbage. Another example of a terribad 2d platformer that attempts to use a physics engine entity for the player controller. Apparently the devs are obliovious to how real platformers are coded and just figured they could "wing it".
Idk. Good ? I guess?

Everytime i died it would reset to the title screen and id have to sit through most of the intro over again. Would be great if it put you back at the start of the level. Couldnt get my controller to work either.
I have finished this game twice now and although i had fun playing this game i cannot recommend it. First i'll start with the good things abour this game. The art design and soundtrack is fantastic. I love the direction taken for this game. It is a challenging game and although short it is the perfect length for what it is, i did not stop playing until i finished. Now for the bad. The level design is not the best. There are areas where you can have a hard time jumping from one spot to the next. There are maps where you transition from one screen to another and you instantly die because there is a spike pool or blade that kills you before you can possibly stop in time. On the second boss there is a place you can stand and just click one button the entire time and beat it. On top of the level design there is only one type of enemy in the game( other then bosses). These enemies are annoying, you have to time your punches just right or else they bump you and take your diamonds. You get powers in the game but the only ones that seem to come in handy is the double jump and glide. I do not dislike the game but these things are holding it back from being good. I am looking forward to see what this developer is going to release next though as they have potential for making great games.
Spelling mistakes and clunky unresponsive controls. k.
