"Rebellion: Rise of the Damned" is a continuation of "Rebellion the Beginning," and although this game was not finished--especially if you played the first game--this is still worth checking out!! Just as in the first game, this sequel has EXCEPTIONALLY SEXY artwork!! By YOUR decisions, you can experience everything from one-on-one sex, HAREM sex, group sex, and even NTR sex, if you're kinky like me and get into that, too! The story isn't too badly done, it's actually enjoyable, if just a tad bit written on the immature side. But, the story IS done well enough that it will actually serve quite nicely in providing a "time-line" ..."time-travel" adventure where you can feel like you're escaping the world for a little while for a very sexy fantasy with LOTS of VOLUPTUOUS and beautiful women!! Although a lot of negative reviews bash this production for not having finished the game, for what it DOES provide, it does a pretty good job at it, and for the price its sold for, I would say YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE! As mentioned, if you love voluptuous women, this little story is PACKED with a lot of arousing sex scenes!!! SHORT AND SWEET! DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED.
Rebellion: Rise of the Damned, developed and published by AGHAMUS, is an adult visual novel that continues the intense and provocative narrative introduced in its predecessor. Set against the harsh and unforgiving backdrop of Ancient Rome, the game plunges players into a world rife with political intrigue, brutal power struggles, and personal survival. The story picks up with the protagonist, a modern-day man mysteriously transported to this ancient era, now accompanied by his wife. This addition not only deepens the emotional stakes but also complicates the choices players must make as they navigate the chaos of rebellion and war. The narrative centers around the protagonist's involvement in the uprising against the Roman Empire, intertwining his fate with historical figures like Spartacus and Crixus. Players are thrust into the complex world of gladiatorial combat and rebellion, where every decision carries weight and can drastically alter the course of events. The presence of the protagonist's wife introduces a new dynamic, bringing themes of loyalty, trust, and sacrifice to the forefront. These elements enrich the storytelling, allowing for a multifaceted exploration of relationships amid turmoil. The game doesn’t shy away from the darker aspects of the era, delving into brutal themes of violence, oppression, and survival, making for a narrative that is as raw as it is compelling. Visually, Rebellion: Rise of the Damned employs a classic visual novel style with static character portraits and detailed backgrounds that evoke the gritty atmosphere of Ancient Rome. While the artwork is not overly elaborate, it effectively conveys the mood and complements the mature storytelling. Character designs are diverse and thoughtfully crafted, reflecting a range of personalities and social standings, which enhances player immersion and emotional investment. The interface is clean and functional, focusing attention on the narrative and choices rather than flashy graphics, which aligns well with the game’s serious tone. Gameplay revolves primarily around decision-making through branching dialogue options. These choices influence relationships, alliances, and the overall direction of the story, with numerous possible outcomes including betrayals, victories, and tragic deaths. This branching narrative structure encourages replayability, inviting players to explore different paths and endings to uncover the full breadth of the story. However, it’s important to note that the game contains explicit content, including scenes of nudity and sexual violence, which are integral to its mature themes and storytelling approach. This makes the game a niche title aimed at a specific adult audience comfortable with confronting these difficult subjects. Rebellion: Rise of the Damned has received a polarized reception. Many players commend its bold storytelling, complex characters, and immersive historical setting, appreciating how it does not sanitize the harsh realities of the time. At the same time, the explicit nature of the content and the unflinching portrayal of violence can be challenging or off-putting for others. This divisive aspect means the game may not appeal to everyone but stands as a distinct and daring entry in the adult visual novel genre. For those interested in mature narratives that combine historical depth with personal drama, it offers a compelling and thought-provoking experience. Ultimately, Rebellion: Rise of the Damned is a powerful exploration of power, loyalty, and survival in one of history’s most brutal periods. Its mature content and intense themes are woven into a richly detailed narrative that challenges players to make difficult decisions with lasting consequences. While it requires an open mind and a tolerance for its explicit elements, the game delivers a unique blend of historical fiction and personal drama that sets it apart from more conventional visual novels. For players seeking a story-driven experience that dares to confront the darker facets of human nature and history, Rebellion: Rise of the Damned is a memorable and impactful journey. Rating: 7/10
so this is still in early access so I'm hoping to change my opinion on it as gets further into development but so far its been a bit of a disappointment. The first part before you go back to Rome is painful as the wife is possibly the worst character in this series, shes annoying as hell and the way the relationship is written between her and the protagonist seems like it'd be best if she wasn't in the picture anyway. Admittedly she becomes bearable once you go back. My main gripe however is how little the characters from the first one feature. Philomena, Venus and the others are put on the shelf to make way for newer characters. whats the point of making the sequel if you aren't going to make use of the characters from the first one? Lucretia is the worst offender of them all. Without spoilers, she should be so much more involved but every time she shows up its just for plot progression or as an afterthought. there's some from the first one who aren't in this at the moment either... overall I would just say to play the first one OR just play this as once you've played the first game the sequel as it is feels like a massive let down. However I am still invested in this series and I am ready to change my review to positive if the updates fix some of these issues
cool story, it's finally finished, but there are issues, as always... like the X scenes could be animated in a cooler way, not bad tho. CliffHanger ending, of course... but this is actually like the best 3 part story so far, i mean if i compare it to Lust Academy, that has a lot of pretty but the story is a bit ...all over the place and the X scenes have weird flaws, both of these franchises have their own strengths and weaknesses. predictable ending tho, and i dislike how the wrong character (preggy wifey) is saying the MC's lines. but an excellent selection of ladies and a lot of X scenes, i really like replaying this, that is not something you can say about many top-AVNs, because they got annoying minigames, lol *cough* LA & Being a Tik... so even if this game is more simple, it has it's own way of being more fun. 8.1 gallons of Ecchi Fun Rating. (fun, simple and hot.... this is an AVN where you can unlock all scenes without a headache, that's why it's in the 8range).
I have desapointed. Animation are great. History is lame. It's really boring. The ending has been rushed. It's an half cooked game.
As a big fan of Ancient Rome I have to say there is not much AVN games in this scenario so I have to deal with what I have. I played a lot of AVNs and many better than this. This game is joke and average at best. So our MC after spending several months or weeks in ludus, making friends, turning into trained and skilled warrior and having multiple affairs get back to his time and become cheating coward and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to his wife? Nah, I don't buy it
Impressive game, i just love medieval adult games and this doesn't disappoint. Caligula style, highly recommend
ENG: In this second chapter of AGHAMUS's masterpiece (which unfortunately will never see its conclusion as the developer, on June 15, 2025, cancelled the third part of the work "because it's one of the worst games by all statistics"), the story of Carl (name of player's choice) picks up a few months after his return to the present. But time didn't stop while he was away, and the cover he chose for his disappearance may work for others, but not for Clara, his wife. Our hero had to tell her what happened and the reason for his long disappearance from the ruins that day, and this awakened in her an obsession with fame and knowledge. Now Clara is determined to travel to Ancient Rome in person at all costs, with or without her husband, to see history with her own eyes and claim this enormous historical-scientific discovery for herself, along with the fame, glory, and recognition that will come with it. Carl, for his part, is reluctant to cooperate, because, after all, in Ancient Rome people die often and willingly, and badly too. However, if he doesn't accompany her, who knows who might involve her in achieving their goals? And above all, what happened to our companions after we left? Not to mention the culture shock once she get there. And, above all, what will have happened to our companions since we left? All things considered, it's probably best to go with her and see for yourself. Like the previous title, it's a relatively short, multiple-choice visual novel, where decisions mostly concern which scenes you'll see. However, unlike the previous game, this time an NTR option is included and implemented, highlighted in the choices and completely optional. You can already get a taste of it at the beginning, but it's only actually revealed to the player later in the game (
if you choose not to go with Carla to Ancient Rome, she'll go with Delia and the old man, but you can still stop her before the ritual "deed". The final choice will be made if you decide to become Spartacus's "brother" thanks to Seka and then choose to consider "sharing" Carla in the future
). The technical side is perfectly consistent with that of the first game, both in terms of models, animations, moans, and soundtrack, all of which are well-crafted. Likewise, the replay gallery always offers scenes without text or dialogue, so saving at the right moments is the best way to relive them with the right context. Furthermore, this time around, the Steam Cloud saving feature is also missing.
Personal note: this time Clara has a chance to shine and earn a lot of points, but for me it's not enough to surpass Venus, who happens to be the best girl here, followed by Philomena and then Clara, with Cornelia behind her (
that if she hadn't turned out to be what we had been told she was in all respects, that is, a bastard, which is why I effectively excluded Leticia and Flavia, and hadn't died, would have been among the best, or almost)
, then Hadriana, for whom childbirth worked miracles, and Seka, who unfortunately is less present this time. However, Oenomaus, the Healer, Phoebe, Cassandra the slave, Aelia, Antonia, and Valeria also stand out. As for honorable mentions, first of all there is Ganna, who seems to be able to shine, but then no and disappears, then there are certainly Michelle and Bella, Delia, Jupiter, the Priestess and the Other Priestess, Lucretia, Oktavia, the late Alpha, Oktavia (Octavia), Cassandra the Roman daughter of Aurelia, and a few nameless slave girls who appear here and there, making themselves pleasantly noticed.
