Don’t buy this game its now been completely abandoned and has no active development that is going to be happening for the foreseeable future. Game was last updated August 30th, 2022 then the dev replied to a post of mine on the 24 Dec, 2022 saying that “do not worry. January/February 2023 I'll be able to provide additional updates.” Well its now march 10th and now the dev posted they don’t have access to a computer with internet and they can’t work on the game. Such a shame this is yet another failed project/ abandonware on steam. Maybe the devs of these Early Access games should more active with the community and better at communicating information to its community. Game developers like this really make steam feel like a really bad place to buy games leaving you left disappointed and ripped off rather than feeling excited of your new purchase game. Overall this Realm of Cubes Early Access game was quite fun to play and could have turned into something exciting. The game ran very well on my ultrawide monitor at 3440 x 1440 resolution with 120-144fps. The starting spells were quite fun to use as a mage as I was questing the mobs looked good and the environment and npc’s made it an immersive environment to adventure
Wow early access strikes again. A bit of a rip off of World of Warcraft and Cube World. Very rough game. Not sure this should be sold. Other things that need improvement.

[strike]Rebindable keys. Not just action bar stuff.[/strike]
Click to move. Hate mouse steering because of the no rebindable keys. A and D turn not strafe.
Why does loading take so long? And it does it every time.
The idea of the two different control schemes is done very poorly. Since no click to move the game still acts like it's controlled by wasd and the mouse.
Display the hotkeys to open interface elements.
This all I can think of. Refunded since this game is in such a rough state. This is early alpha at best. Update 2/20/2024 Bought the game again. This game is still at the very best an early alpha. This is not even worth 80% off. New thing I noticed, if you have a controller plugged in the game forces split screen gameplay. No option to turn it that I could see. Only thing you can do is unplug the controller. Also for a game that allows more than one character why can't quit to the character select menu? Avoid this one. This was the developer response to my original review: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3164747809
This game combines what I loved about cube world with a cute handcrafted world to explore. Pros to playing this game: -Progression System for each class -7 different classes with unique abilities -Quest -Different regions to explore -Fun combat -Fast Gear Progression once you get on the grind -Developer that is still updating the game with more content So what are the Cons? -So far there are only 3 regions to explore. However the developer has stated that more regions are in progress. -The second player can only be a warrior Other than that, it's a fun Open world game with fun combat. Can't wait to see what happens with more updates!
probably a good game, but the controls instantly made me cringe. you can't strafe A/D keys turn you, so instead of controlling a person you are controlling a tank/car. this sort of stuff has me instantly refund. This is excluding the ridiculous initial loading time, which had me thinking they were deliberately slowing the first loading time to push you past the 2 hour refund policy. oh and the cogwheel that is universally accepted as 'options'? its not, the options is '?'. I am convinced this game is not created by a gamer. game could have had me keep it, but the turning, loading was an instant no.
Very calming and enjoyable. If you want to do 2 player co-op, do not have a controller plugged in when launching the game. Wait for your character to be moving around on the screen, THEN plug in your ps4 controller.
This game is quite similar to the early day's of Cube World and for those who really enjoyed that you may enjoy this one. Although it's still in early access and a lot of work still needs to be put into it, the Dev(s) have been putting in a lot of work with bug fixes and changes happening almost every day. I know a lot of people do have issues with Early Access games and I'm right there with you, however, I do believe that if the Dev keeps working on this and does what Wolfram von Funck couldn't do, this could be an amazing game. That being said, for the moment just keep an eye on the game or, if the Dev is reading this, I'd suggest lowering the price for a little bit until it has a bit more of a following. Marketing for this game is definitely needed but again, if the Dev is willing to put in the effort, I do have confidence in this game!

Original Review (mainly just a couple of things I noticed when I first started that had needed fixing/changing) Although at the time of this review I've only got a few minutes in this game, it seems really fun! The main 2 issues I have is that there's no volume slider/option other then for the music and the mouse lock/unlock is a bit iffy (it's one of those games where by default your mouse if locked to crosshairs but when a button is hit, you can then move your mouse around to select options and whatnot) this sometimes doesn't activate and is a bit glitchy but I believe that's an easy fix. I'll update this review to be better and more accurate once I've actually spent more time in the game!
sadly, the game is not steam deck compatible, the framerate on it is horrific, so i never got to test it properly.
This game is honestly a game that I can see turning into something really great if the developer keeps working on the game and doesn't just abandon it. Sure, some of the controls and all are still rather rough, BUT the game has a very good baseline already I gotta say that and once you get used to all the stuff and know your way around it is actually a fun game. This game aims more towards the direction of what I would have loved Cube World to be like and I am honestly really excited to see what kind of Updates we get in the future. One feature that would be super cool of course is the ability to play online with your steam friends, that would just be the cherry on top if it would be possible to add that in the future maybe. Besides that, a very good base game so far, keep working on it and i know it can be something great!
really cool i really want to see this game evolving !
It's like cube world x world of warcraft, pretty chill, still rough around the edges, but i would recommend
