Unfortunately: The physics are bad The graphics are bad The music is bad The tracks are boring and uninspiring The menu and UI is confusing The game is missing features (like whole game modes and multiplayer is missing) and feels like a beta There's not a single thing I like about this game. Ugh... Just play Re-Volt instead.
Put it back in the oven. It's not done cooking
EU: The game is a direct remake of Re-Volt, the game is very interesting in terms of the plot and the development of the project itself, the project positions itself as an arcade race, thank you for giving me a copy and the opportunity to play this wonderful project, there have been no such games for a long time, I will expect even more such titles from this developer UA: Гра прямий ремейк Re-Volt, гра дуже цікава самим сюжет і пропрацьованість самого проекту, проект позиціонує себе як аркадні перегони дякую за надану мені копію і можливість пограти в цей чудовий проект, давно ігор таких не було, буду очікувати ще більше таких тайтлів від цього розробника
This game is terrible. Driving is horrible, only few boosters and theres to multiplayer only split screen all the other options will come in next updates. But they delayed the game 2-3 times. For what? GARBAGE!!
This game is such a nothing burger. I wanted to like it too... But: - The physics are awful - The music is better off being turned off - The track editor is cool, but so user unfriendly - The tracks themselves are mostly bland, soulless ovals. If they had more going on then it'd work in the game's favor 3/10
A RC "Re-Volt clone" RC style game. In the current state it's very… mediocre at best. Offers less than RVGL or RC Cars, while being a mix of both, probably more RC Cars though. Opimisation is non-existent. Game is made in certain low-poly style, but please, it will not run perfectly when it renders the entire track with full-res non-mipmapped textures just because you went for a cartoon-style graphics. Has a native Linux version, runs on a dedi AMD GPU without any problems. FPS is low though, I have to set graphics to low to have a playable experience. As for physics, it gives quite a weird feeling since the handling model is very… slidy. Car tends to drift in the corners, maybe not on concrete floors anymore but on grass and dirt it drifts through the corners at sharp angles. Whether it's good or bad – hard to say, definitely not realistic, but doesn't necessarily have to be. But it gives a very weird feeling when car slides even sideways and still drives through the corner the way you wanted it to. It's not Star Drift Evolution, it's supposed to be RC cars. Agile and nimble, high power, low mass cars. A strange choice of physics style. Car does accelerate off it's wheels, so the physics-throttle-acceleration system does work, it's just set up in a "slidy" way. Suspension seems to be working well, it does smoothen the ride when you drive over small obstacles. Dirt and grass seem to be perfectly flat though, they do not have a bumpy, uneven surface. Collisions with other cars are exisent, you can push someone off but will not entangle with each other. Collisions from behind are mostly just gentle pushes though. Car tends to turn and react to the way the wheel is psysically turned on the car model, which is good. What is bad is that you can significantly control the car mid-air. Really? Sounds. The car sounds like a hoover. What? It's either an electric car with an electric motor, or an internal combustion engine car running on a nitro fuel blend. Neither of the two should sound like a vacuum cleaner. Car sliding sounds are the same for grass, dirt, concrete – either unfinished or lazy. Music? It's okay. Lots of objects have artificial hitboxes. Take trees for example, their hitbox doesn't match their texture, when you hit it you feel the hitbox is perfectly circular and significantly wider than the tree texture you see on the screen. Dust and particles kicked off into the air from driving on dirt or grass is implemented in a very cheap way: it just detects if your wheels touch that surface and it makes the dust and particles fly. Even if you stand still, the particles still get kicked in the air. It doesn't change depending on your speed, slide angle, nope. You can stand perfectly still on grass and you see leaves and dust kicked up from your wheels. You can change settings in menu only, not in game options. Music seems to be too quiet. After finishing a race, you get kicked back to menu immediately. No final score table, no scenes of cars going through and stopping after the finish line. That's just bad, there is no fun, no flavour in that. You just race to get points and that's what you immediately see after finishing a race. Points. Cash. Whatever this is, this is just so bad. The game is extremely grindy at the moment. Everything (except tracks and available game modes themselves) is locked behind cash you earn from races and events. This is a kids' game about RC cars. Not my second job. I do not want to grind an unmeasurable amount of hours to unlock and buy another car, to unlock and buy more car upgrades, to unlock some different car colour or a sticker. Let alone there is no "progress table" so you have no idea how much you have progressed through the game, what you have won already and what have you not, but there is so much stuff to unlock with cash, and so little cash earned by races, it's just so bad. RC Cars had a cash system, but it was a mild one, where you didn't have to invest much time to unlock all 3 (!) cars and 3 upgrades for each of them. Here there are more cars, each behind a huge in-game price tag, each of them probably with several upgrades in different areas of the car behind a price tag, and every paint customisation option is behind a price tag as well. This is a game, not a second job. I don't even know how these cars behave, what is there in the "later" parts of the game, everything is locked behind this dumb grindwall. Give players a simple progression system of RC Cars style where you unlock next tracks by winning available ones, gain significant amount of cash for winning races that allows for a lot of customisation and upgrade options, maybe also significantly lower the price tags for cars and upgrades, anything. Re-Volt had no cash system and it was a fantastic replayable experience. Nothing was locked behind grind. Despite being extremely grindy, it doesn't make use of Steam cloud to store your progress. Good luck with that. With that there could even be a "best times" table sorted by class, cars and tracks for time trials. Replayability. At the moment there is none. There are no pickups Mario Kart/Re-Volt style, but there is RC Cars-style boost. Boost you press, you gain almost twice your speed and it replenishes extremely fast just by driving forward. It's very cheap. Press, accelerate, slow down, wait for replenish, repeat. Dumb and repetitive gameplay. There is no car to car combat since there are no pickups, but the environment is kinda bland as well, you have no moving cars, animals, humans or other cars acting as major obstacles like in RC Cars for the gameplay to be decently good without pickups. I think on one track there was a moving excavator, and that was it. So it can be implemented in the game, just wasn't to a bigger degree. There is a "boosters" mode with pickups, but currently only one track in "career→arcade series". The "go race→boosters mode" doesn't work for me, just freezes the game, but shows 3 tracks only anyway. Why not make pickups an option you can turn off or on before launch of a race or career championship, and make pickups available on all tracks? Currently there are only a handful of weapons (bomb, mine, unguided rocket, shield, swap directions), the visual cues are not satisfying and very simple, not enough variety, boost still OP. Tracks themselves look good, but the racing lines seem a bit bland. The environments look very good, but there is not enough surface bumpiness, obstacles etc in the racing itself to be replayable. The tracks themselves are so wide you can drive whatever and you will make it. You just press boost to overtake, and look at AI boosting past you when you recharge yours. Also there is no graphical cue when they are boosting. When reversing, camera looks back almost immediately. No, thanks, I want a separate button which I can use to look back. When I crash, I want to slightly reverse to continue driving forward, so I want to look forward, not peek backward and not see what's ahead of me. There is no "reposition" button that would put you back on the racing line, only "flip", so if you're stuck somewhere, you're stuck. Checkpoints should be more visible. Maybe should be two of them where you'd have to drive in between for the lap to count, not one that disappears from quite far away as it is now. Modes? A regular race, stunt arena (trackmania style, too bad you can control the car mid-air and rotate it a bit), time trial of sorts. one track where you do some stunts TM2020 style and one oval race with pickups. Overall this is a hugely unfinished game that isn't labeled as an early-access.
It's like if Re-Volt and Roblox had a premature baby.

Good racing game. Variety of Cars, tracks and customization. I can recommended this game.
