Ray's The Dead

This game has great art style and idea behind it but the execution is pretty bad. At first you will be happy because of the 80;s nostalgia you will see but soon the happiness will turn to frustration as you fight against the menus and the buggy features. Everything from the combat to the sneaking mechanics are pretty buggy and will cause you many deaths and annoyances. The story starts off strong and then quickly falls off as you are assaulted with constant cut scenes with forced nostalgia to interrupt the bad game play. Also, some of the things you are required to do for progression are not made clear and must be done with trial and error, which then forces you to battle against the clunky menu and controls more. All in all this game had a really great idea behind it but the execution was just done poorly. I hope the developer learns from this experience in future games as they are clearly talented and onto something. Grade C Not Recommend

I backed this when it was originally on Kickstarter. So glad the game finally came out. Art style is wonderful and the music is amazing. Really fun game so far!

oof i regret backing this one it was one of the buggiest experiences iv had which is a shame because there are things to like here they just dont work well im surprised i managed to beat this

Great Game!, luckily it plays good under Linux (Proton) a native port is planned. if you like Pikmin you will like this game

Horrible. Looked cool, but as many have said, horrific controls ruin the experience...I learned this two minutes in. Title screen says best played with a controller, but then a controller set-up and use is not an option. Tried it with a keyboard, and I wnated to ram my head into a wall after two minutes. Terrible design. Don't waste your time or money!

It's Good

Does not deserve to be even related to stubbs the zombie series it is a chore to do anything and its like going through the motions and everything feels like a chore no satisfying gameplay.

I Kickstarted this game years ago and although it took awhile to be released it was fun seeing the development of the game. Fun game play and fantastic music with an interesting story. Overall it's a pretty fun game and the creators behind it are amazing people.

This is really fun game to play. The pop reference and the music is on point. Highly recommend. This is my first review so you should understand that I had to figure out how to write a review, thats how much I love this game!!!

Edit: After completing this, I change my mind. The game is buggy, controls frequently stop responding, nothing feels tuned. Man,it started out great, but the cracks in the foundation soon gave way to tedium and a desire for it just be over. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This has been totally worth the wait. This must be the coziest zombie game ever. The art direction is top notch, making the world just drip with throwback zombie movie charm. The music almost steals the show, but the game play just keeps you locked in. This is quite simply the offspring of Return of the Living Dead and Pikmin. Braiiinnnnnss......
