Rare Rabbits - Snuggle Haven

Played the demo more than full version so far, conceptually this is by far the best representation I have seen for genetics. As a grad student studying plant breeding, I love this and hope other genetic principles are included with the applicable knowledge included to teach people unfamiliar with these concepts in the future. How I stumbled upon this game, I don't know as usually games like this fall under another category and are overshadowed. Please keep up the hard work, I am going to show my colleagues this game as well. The devs have done their research and have a substantial knowledge of the material. Very simple in game mechanics and graphics and its very noticable that the game is in early access but i found it while looking for a genetic central game that wasnt Niche and this has definetly satisfied me. I look foreward to seeing how it looks when finished

Although it might seem trivial to mention the game didn't blast my eardrums on the initial start up with 100% volume. I always appreciate that. While the topic of genetics isn't uncommon in games nowadays the prospect of applied genetics isn't one of humanitys best achievements. Whatever doesn't fit the requirements for the next batch gets eliminated in one way or another. It's a cruel competition with unwilling contenders. Therefore I really appreciate the scientific approach and included commercial aspect of animal breeding meanwhile the music and gameplay do achieve a cozy and light-hearted experience. Since the game is literally taking its baby steps right now I took bugs and suggestions to their Discord instead of including them in this review. This might prove more useful. Heck, the first ones already even got solved or implemented. Props to that. For most of my library I'm content with silently playing the finished product but I feel weirdly urged to input on your project. I'm excited to see where the journey goes.

A lot of games let you mess around with genetics a bit, but this one adds a depth I didn’t even realize I was missing. It feels thoughtful, charming, and surprisingly engaging. The music adds a lot to the experience, it’s beautiful and relaxing, and gives the whole game a really cozy atmosphere. The game could still use a few quality-of-life improvements, and I’d love to see a proper tutorial added, but the foundation is already really strong. Keep it up :) Definitely a game I’m happy to recommend already. I’m also hoping for some fun achievements in the future, and I’ll absolutely come back to it after the next updates.

some stuffs about this rabbit game: It has in-depth genetics, which as a biology lover I ADORE, tons of different coat genetics, different prices for rarer/ more common patterns & colors (ex: common brown rabbit= cheaper when sold, rarer albino Rabbit= more expensive when sold) super chill, entertaining game, good for playing when your bored. overall, a 10/10 from me, HOWEVER I recommend playing the free demo to make sure you like this game, as I know not everyone likes these sorts of games as much as I do, lol. (=w=) Update: they recently made it so all rabbits are worth the same, and grow in worth as they age. Still fun, just a different mechanic from before so I figured I would share.

I always have an itch for games where you play around with genetics and this game definitely filled the itch in the best way. Interesting and addictive game about breeding rabbits, strongly reccommend.

I just found the most precious rabbit game and I’m officially obsessed. If you love cozy vibes but still want to use your "science brain" a little, you seriously need to try this. It’s basically where science meets peak cuteness because the game uses actual genetics and heredity. it’s so satisfying watching the traits pass down to the baby buns! 🧬🐰 You can even stroke and interact with them, and my heart just melts because they’re so incredibly fluffy. Also, huge shoutout to the tutorial at the start, it made it easy to just dive in without any stress. Honestly, whether you’re a total science nerd or just want to cuddle some virtual bunnies, this is such a must-play! ✨ P.S. I’d really like the option to name my own bunnies in the future!

Really cute and unique breeding game. Will definitely keep an eye out for the full release. Love the music and the art. The breeding mechanics are very detailed and complex and the developers seem pretty engaged in the community. Updates come out regularly. This could one day become the best genetics simulation game on steam.
