RAILED

Railed is a fun little puzzle tile game where you have to connect train stations using tracks that you get from train cars on a train moving through the background. You press the stop button and the train will stop and one of the train cars will open and you get to either choose the tile or pay some of your money to choose one of 3 specific tracks. Your money is your score and there are leaderboards so it's fun to play to try and get a better score. The game sessions are a good length, my longest game was around 12 minutes long. It's a perfect length for a game. There is one thing that unfortunately makes the game boring, slow and a huge drag, and that's the music. It's definitely not a good fit for the game at all and is a bit of a downer. Luckily though I turned off the game music and put on something more fun, happy and with a bit more energy. The music switched changed the whole feel of the game, it was suddenly much better. I would suggest using your own music when playing this game because it will definitely make the experience more enjoyable. The gameplay is fun and challenging. The randomness can make it difficult but you do have some control if you can afford it. Buying those tiles though costs you part of your score though so the tradeoff can be either good or bad in the end, it's up to you. You also choose a "main mission" before the game starts too which gives a good bonus payout to your score at the end if you complete the mission. I found Railed to be quite enjoyable and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys an interesting puzzle game that is a bit similar to Catan and Carcassonne. It's fun going for high scores and seeing if you can make better track connections for mega points and the game sessions are perfect for a random game anytime you have an extra 10 minutes. In this nice little puzzle game you need to connect as many as possible stations to each other and to a goldmine. Enjoyable adaptation (with a few small rule changes) of the "roll and write" game 30 Rails that you'll probably enjoy if you like solitaire games and/or puzzle games. One small complaint I have about the game is that it has somewhat weird music that doesn't really fit the game and sounds more like it belongs on the soundtrack of a super-depressing Russian art movie or something.

The system to get the pieces is needlessly slow and frustrating.

Railed is a Strategy-Puzzle game with the goal to connect Stations to other Stations and Mines. The further you connect them, the more money you get. You level up by getting a specific amount of Gold Coins, starting with 100.000.000. Which means it is going to get harder and harder every time you want to level up! Having played for almost 45 Hours in total when writing this, i have reached level 5. I am kind of addicted to the game and hope to reach level 9 soon and get all Achievements done. I can recommend this game to everyone that likes Puzzle games where you have to think ahead and reach certain goals.

I really love this game! Its a challenge to try to build the best railway you can with a chance of luck on hoping to get the best piece to build the perfect track. I know I will be playing ALOT more of this. I just have to build that perfect game. In theory, it's a simple puzzle game but when you begin to find the depth that exists in it to get higher scores: connecting different stations alongside the mine, I kept trying to best my previous score and climb the leaderboards. It's all integrated perfectly -- this is the perfect game to play while waiting for something to download or if you just need a pallete cleanse in between matches. Really recommend checking this out.

If you're worried give the pencil and paper game it's based off of, 30 rails, a go before getting this. But this is a good digital representation of it. The goal is to connect everything up with rail lines. The mine and the other stations. But it's strongly based on luck. You need to not only get the correct rail shape but also the color. it's a quick game, five to fifteen minutes for each. Some of the objectives you can pick will make you speed play for more money. I'm going to warn you that the tutorial is lacking. You'll need to play a few games and read to get all the mechanics. I also wish the text wasn't the same color as the background. It is an interesting idea, but it doesn't quite work. You get frequently denied pieces, especially near the end. It is impossible to plan for.
