About

Are we truly evolving.. or just surviving?
Is the path we’ve chosen as a species the right one… or a dead end?
The Exodus Project was meant to reshape us, to build a stronger, better world.
To create superhumans.
To save us.
But something went wrong.
Terribly wrong.
And now, what was meant to save us is tearing us apart.Radiant Exodus is a linear action-horror shooter about loss, survival, and the will to fight back.
You play as Sarah Caldwell, a former soldier trying to reconnect with a friend .. but the night has other plans. The city slips into darkness. People disappear. Blood paints the sidewalks. And something.. looms in the sky.
Her father might be in danger. The world feels like it’s ending. All she has is an old rifle, her training, and a promise she’s not willing to break.
This isn’t just survival. It’s a last stand.

Where to start? Radiant Exodus reminded me to early 2000s indie games. It's janky, it's rough, it has moments with cool visuals, but feels more like a random collection of assets than a game. It's an alien invasion story, but I feel like the developer attempted to make a much bigger game than he had the time for. That doesn't mean the game is long. It took me like 30 minutes to complete it, and half of that was spent in the final boss room, that endlessly spawned enemies but failed to tell me that I have to shoot a specific part of the machine to end the scene. I wanted to like it, since I like unique or unlikely games, but this didn't have any original elements and interesting vistas or a story worth remembering. Most areas are empty or have repeating assets. Invisible walls are everywhere too. There is not much here to recommend. Shooting feels bad, movement feels bad, the environments are absolutely nonsensical. Basically just random asset store items meshed together, most of them don't even have proper scaling, so a toilet is as big as a table or a vending machine is truck sized. Sound design is exceptionally bad, there is no way to tell where an enemy is or where you got hit from. Enemy sounds play even after they die. The story feels like it was written by someone who has never seen a book before. Every note is basically 100% exposition, none of it feels in any way natural or believable and it doesn't even make sense. How does the dad know everything? Why are artifacts in the subway? The enemies looked cool, but engaging them was more funny than scary. I guess this is a first attempt at making a game. I have seen better indie projects on itch.io for free. Next time, start small, and keep the scope small.
Short indie action horror shooter. Not bad for the low price.
A neat little lo-fi horror game. It's very short, taking about 30 minutes to finish, and linear, with no hidden areas or easter eggs to find. There are a few different enemies that are all visually distinct, but they all follow the same AI in that they move directly towards the player as soon as they spawn until they get within melee range. There is only one weapon available to the player but it gets the job done. The final boss battle is fun and easily the highlight of the game. Overall it's a fun little game that's worth a few bucks, but the $5 price tag is probably a little high for what you get.

Got it for free on Reddit, and it was actually pretty nice. The gunplay feels a bit weird, but the short story wasn’t bad at all—I even got scared a few times. Really cool to see that games like this are still being made in 2025. If this was done by a single person, that’s actually quite solid. I liked how the monsters actually shattered into pieces. It’s a bit over the top, but still nice to see that you really feel like you’re doing damage. The health system, on the other hand, isn’t great. In my opinion the health bar feels a bit too much—making the screen darker or something when you’re low on health would probably fit the game better (just my opinion). For 4€ it feels a bit “expensive” though. I’d probably grab it on sale, since the story is really short. I tried to get everything out of the game and still finished it in about 30 minutes.
I was gifted a copy of this game by the developer in a giveaway, and honestly I feel this game still has room for improvement, but could become an amazing game if it's pushed to its potential. It had a tense atmosphere in some parts, but there were bits that could've been improved upon. 6.5/10
Let's do a little pros and cons thing here. Pros: - The audio work for the monsters is great. The first few times I encountered them, I genuinely jumped. Even though the designs are nothing groundbreaking, the horrifying sounds they make are quite unsettling. - Gunplay is fine. You shoot, you reload, you shoot some more. It works. Cons: - As with the developer's other game I have played (Veranoia), the game hijacks all of your display settings. Perhaps this isn't an issue with single monitor setups, but having more than one, the game forces my windows to jump all over the place. Use the "-windowed" launch option through steam and save yourself some headache. - While the monsters have great sounds, the gun sounds like a low-budget sci-fi laser. - The game is incredibly short. I ran my way through it in about 20 minutes. - There is basically no story, and what is there is just an excuse to shoot some monsters. The game starts abruptly, and ends abruptly. Verdict: I know there are more cons listed than pros, but for the very brief time I spent playing, I had fun. And most of the cons are little things, while the primary pro (the monster audio) is much bigger. I don't typically get got by jumpscares, but the audio absolutely got me a few times. I know the developer has made many changes to their other game based on feedback, so I fully expect the same to be the case here. If you go into it knowing that you're gonna have a short monster shooter, you'll have a fine time. If it ever goes on sale, it'll be a much easier recommendation.
i give it 8/10 short horror game according to price: its must try. my suggestion to developer: please add few more jump scares; add one or two more gun options; random locker key location. by the way keep it up. Good job developer.
Pretty good game for the price tbh, it's really short, but considering its developed by a single person, it's worth it imo
Funny, short horror FPS. I didn't encounter any gamebreaking bugs, and, overall, I had fun with it, especially during the final boss fight. Hiding some secret rooms/ easter eggs could help to increase the longevity of the game, and the same goes for adding some achievements (stuff like complete the game, but also, find all secret rooms/easter eggs, or complete the game under a certain time) Pros: + Creepy atmosphere + Cool monologue towards the end of the game + Final boss fight was fun Cons: - Not a lot of QoL, no option to rebind keys, and overall a bit rough looking, although clear, UI - Short game. In my case it took me about half hour to finish it, but I would consider myself a rather experienced FPS player - The game could definitely be more polished Overall, it's a nice first solo project, and I'm sure that if the developer will continue working on it, it'll be an even better experience.
