(Before going into this I need to point out something to future readers: There is actually an Auto-Save feature in the game. It will appear whenever you reach the next scene. So if you leave, you will then see a "red stamp" with a symbol on it. Click it and you can resume from the scene you stopped at.) (Once you are done with the Chapter... You are free to re-visit any scene in that Chapter of your choice due to the "Scene Selections" being unlocked...) (Please note that the journal to the side (not the poetry book) is where your "choices" will appear.) (There is also no "Skip" button either... You CAN set it to "auto-read" (brings up the next line so you don't have to tap keys) for you, but KNOW! YOU WILL MISS OPTIONS! At higher speeds anyway.) The story is nuts. I thought this was a murder mystery... Clues... Crime... NOPE! There are two cops/detectives and a poet... But the story is more about how their lives became intertwined and the events that transpired and eh... It can get really dark. That's another thing to warn you about: YOU NEED to pay attention to the content warnings. I saw them and took them lightly, as I am not really a newbie to such topics and then there was this part with Quinn in Chapter Four and I... I was like "sheet..."... It's not scarring by any means (at least I hope it isn't!)... But just be wary. It isn't all fun and games. How it's played... You played a Visual Novel with choices? Yeah? Cool. It's not like that. The story IS LINEAR! IT DOES however have multiple endings. But we'll get there in a moment. So basically... You read the typewriter/words and then A BOOK opens up on the side. (I am telling you this... Because the game doesn't... I kept skipping CHOICES because I had no idea it was there!) The book will have choices: 1/2/3. Keyboard bound too. You CAN make a choice if you want... Or... You can continue to keep quiet and NOT pick a choice. I think it's more for flavor text as it doesn't really change the outcome (outcome (aka Achievements) is changed by your choices in Chapter Five). Sometimes when you don't pick an option... You get ANOTHER option... So you see... It's interactive dialogue. Story... Story draws you in. Especially of how everything goes. You get bits and pieces in each Chapter (duh) whilst at the same time you keep wondering if all of this is going to have a good ending or not. The story follows a certain topic and there are three main characters... Whose POV switch depending on what Chapter you read. Characters are... Memorable and it wouldn't hurt to have learned more about them. However, although I said that... The story/characters were fine the way they were. The STORY... The TOPIC... The EVENTS... Those were all important. You got what you needed to make it through the story. This IS MXM (Male X Male), but by no means anything romantic (not normal romance anyway!). It's there and it's nuts. That's the best I can do without any story spoilers. I mean... Compared to some stuff I've read recently... This was intriguing and worth the attention. It will take you time to get the last of the Achievements, but... I just liked it... Even if you think it's weird that I liked something like this... Not even knowing what parts I liked... Anyway! I'll definitely read it again some time in the future and see if I can enjoy it in an interesting/odd way once again. Thank you. Keep up the good work!!! :) =) :>

I was expecting just a romance-focused visual novel, but I was positively surprised by a captivating story with great displays of real world problems and well-written characters. That being said, A.C.A.B.

PagMan gay game zomg immersive simulator featuring lgbt themes *blush* rawr argh flynn is the bpd attraction simulator fahkkk god dayumn dat boi omg like fr fr more please. No but in all seriousness this is a great game from a great dev. Super impressive first release and a masterpiece in storytelling. It's a very well paced visual novel and bug free.. Sit there in the dark and play... it's very immersive! You won't regret buying this. Played on Steam Deck and works flawlessly

truly phenomenal piece of art. the writing is excellent, the characters flawed and lovable, the UI and sound design and art all fantastic and integral to the experience. (i was delighted when i found out that the items on the screen make noises!! it just adds to how visceral it all feels.) play the game. radicalise your polycule. burn corruption to the ground.

Really amazing visual novel telling a great story about power, relationships, police violence and poverty. Really excellent writing and characters and a lot of really good displays of discomfort around sexually exploitative and abusive behavior.

What a delight to encounter VN full of the deft touches and craft of a writer who is not only skilled, but specifically experienced in creating interactive fiction. The opportunity to consider the timing of responses in conversation or refrain from responding entirely add an engaging and naturalistic twist -- as well as a surprising angle for characterization.

Only one chapter in but already got a delightful mess and has some fun maneuvers with the complicated triangle. It was immediately even messier than I was hoping. Also the UI and foley work are fantastic. Well worth checking out!

Rather excellent. Very focused writing, and all chapters have a gripping drama to them. Scenes have that lovely elastic snap to them that comes from a writer who understands the importance of pacing. Couldn't put it down!

The pacing of this game is fantastic! The writing and the way each sentence continues upwards in typewriter format made me glued to the screen the whole time! A very well written noir BL narrative! I deeply enjoyed it. I will say while i admire and appreciate the themes of shifting ones views on the world and fighting systemic injustice, I can't help but find it very unbelievable how quickly the two police characters changed their beliefs. I understand this is a short narrative so I won't fault the writer, but in terms of my preference for stories of growth and learning it felt very sudden and unrealistic to see how the characters perspectives were so easily changed. I also am not a fan of how murky and unclear all 3 characters consequences were for how they've harmed each other and how they potentially 'forgave' one another or not. Just felt like the weight of some of these actions was very easily brushed off. These personal narrative qualms aside this is definitely worth the price and I still thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
