Cool aesthetic. Absolutely horrendous gameplay/combat.

"QuentBlast" is a somewhat lulzy RPG with a bowling theme. You know what kind of game the gaming industry has never, ever, ever been crying out for? Yep... a bowling RPG. This features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and it's clear the developers behind this don't understand that. It should be no surprise to anyone to find out the gameplay here is worse than the visuals. It's clunky, filled with bugs. It's clear the developer had a goal for the game and put a lot of effort into the game design itself, but all of this effort is wasted when it's not upheld with a reasonable technical delivery. Resolution, controls are locked and there's no audio controls either, hammering down just how poor the technical delivery is. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 8 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.

Rarely leave short reviews but there isn't really too much to talk about at the moment. I can't get past the tutorial as when I get to the first bowling scene, the HUD disappears and nothing seems to work/happen. Would love to try the game out as the humour is right up my alley.

Actually shocking this is free. God I love bowling.
