7/10 Fun and challenging game to a point. The difficulty level is impossibly hard in the later levels, which spoils things somewhat. Imagine being expected to shoot small moving man sized things at 1km distance, achieve 50% accuracy and shoot about 1 arrow a second. The balancing doesn't really seem to have been thought through. Purchased units (towers) should have regenerated at the start of each wave. I do recommend this though.
I like the game, wave game on a castle wall with a bow and ability to buy different arrow types and troops. But its very frustrating that the troops die so easily and there is no way to revive them. You just buy more troops at level 1. The troops level with experience but then you have a top level troop die and start over? There is no progression in the level that way. Just dumb chance that they would live. It would be a much better experience if I could pay for revivial of dead troops so that my troops would progress in the level with me instead of all the previous money spent on troops getting thrown away
I would recommend this over Quiver but I didnt have to pay for this. Special arrows are pretty fun to use and I love the fact that you can recruit soldiers.
Played on Oculus Quest. But even if you keep the bow steady, every arrow hits a different spot. In other games, bows behave more consistently.
Seems pretty awesome... Though have had some issues with tracking. Pretty sure it's a hardware issue on my end though.
This is an outdated wave-based VR tower defense game with outdated graphics and excessively high difficulty. You will not find anyone on Youtube who has completed every level in this game. Most likely because it would take an enormous amount of effort and time after constantly failing levels over and over. I could never make it past level three. The first two levels are ok. But starting with level three, the game gets just stupid hard with an insane amount of enemies. They are also very tiny targets and difficult to hit. You can hire soldiers to fight for you on the ground. However, they are always quickly defeated starting in level three. Every level also looks the same, just with more enemies and more waves. Overall, this is a highly frustrating VR experience in my opinion and I therefore cannot recommend it.
+ Good VR bow game. Not the best, but good. - The arrow setting is a little bit off: you have to bend your hand to set the arrow to the bow. - Also you can't change hands after you accidentally chose wrong. - To get to the next wave, you have to shoot the arrow extra far, instead of the possibility to just push a button. * Could also have multi-player online choice.
Room for improvement but overall it's a solid title, and currently on sale! It would be cool if we could keep some of our gold from previous stages in the campaign, so we can make purchases early on. You earn gold after a stage is complete, but other than going towards a leaderboard, I'm not sure what the use for it is currently since Wave 1 of the next stage starts you out with 0 gold again. Really dig the hit detection so you know exactly where you hit the enemy, soundtrack is good, graphics are pretty solid. A horde or survival type mode would be cool as well, along with bow upgrades/customizable options.
First of all, there's a demo. I hope it's up to date with the current build of this, cos this is pretty dagnabbity good, in archery shooting 'AND'... yes, 'AND'... Tower Defence. I was initially impressed with the archery mechanics, alone, but teleporting around the battlements gets you to a table that has Soldiers for Hire!... and other stuff. The soldiers get amongst it, protecting the gate (you can unlock more units, but haven't played enough yet. I'm presuming archers and mage units, I'll update review)... anyway, the soldiers protecting the gate can be promoted, "IF", they stay alive, which really adds to the emotion of 'keeping' them alive, giving you a rush, trying to get a clean shot at creatures they're fighting. It's really, well done. Oh yeah, there's another bonus gameplay mechanic, Don't forget to duck :)
