Pumpkin Ripper

A very cool take on the bullet heaven genre, with even the graphics not unlike Vampire Survivors. Instead of having auto-attacks consisting of lasers, rockets, auras and whatnot, the protagonist is a reaper who keeps unlocking new scythes, which they can throw towards opponents. Depending on their kind, they either just bounce around like crazy, or even have elemental damageand whatnot. What makes it particularly curious is that these scythes than need to be recovered from their landing location to be used again, and when leveled up they can also be left on the ground strategically to use their secondary effects, such as freezing the ground for a few seconds around it. It's really fun and addictive. So why am I not recommending this game? Well, Pumpkin Ripper currently does not offer nowhere near the amount of content expected from such a title. A single map, a single character, only about half a dozen different scythes, no power-ups aside from a slot machine that gives more XP, no permanent progression or shops whatsoever. What you see in the first match is pretty much what you see in every other, bar from a few scythes you will not see until a couple matches in, depending on the RNG. I cannot in my right mind recommend this game in it's current state. It has basically 0 replayability value which is a big part of what makes a good vampire survivors style game. The gameplay is basic, unfun and the mechanics in the game aren't fleshed out. There's almost nothing to see here. This game will need DRASTIC changes before I can recommend it

Achei interessante a proposta de Gameplay, os diferentes tipos de foices e o modo como funciona é surreal, nunca vi em outros jogos. Muito bom! O estilo de jogo é muito divertido! Ótimo para quem quer jogar algo mais casual sem ficar entediado. A complexidade é baixa mas mesmo assim, entrega desafios para os jogadores. Acredito que várias ideias podem ser adicionadas para deixar o jogo mais divertido. Aguardando novas atualizações :)

Le jeu n'est qu'un prototype de quelque chose qui aurait pu être beaucoup plus sympa. Aucune progression, genre vraiment zero zero zero. On allume le jeu, on lance la partie, on tient le plus longtemps, et fin.

Thus far? A very addictive game. It's quite simple and easy to understand, but can get very hectic by the 5 minute mark. The visuals are not necessarily eye catching, but the enemy variants are still exciting to see. For a couple suggestions, however, I would love for there to be a store system or upgrade system that boosts your base scythes at the beginning of each game so that you can fight enemies longer and gain a higher advantage, and thus a higher incentive to continue playing. Perhaps throw in a couple big bosses to fight as well, and gain a nice powerup once you defeat them. Still, very fun!

It surprised me a lot! A vampire survivors style game with a lot of originality! It's very satisfying to slash the pumpkin demons, and the mechanics of having to pick up the scythe from the ground adds a very nice strategy layer! Great game!
