Nothing that really makes it stand out over it's competitors, and it appears to be have been abandoned. No workshop support, little aesthetic customisation, no options that other games dont already have, flipping the playfield invalidates scores, no editor, and the bundled maps are good, but not good enough to warrant the price tag. Not a bad game, but there just isn't any reason to get this over stepmania.

Negative reviews seem to be mostly from people who are just mad to actually have to pay for the work artists have put into songs and mappers have put into charts. I personally am not a fan of being a freeloader and playing copyrighted songs so this game gets my full support. Furthermore, the charts are nice and vibe well with the music, and most of the songs are good too. I also like how they're unique, since I play so many rhythm games, and many of them have similar songs. So this game is a nice addition to my rhythm game library for sure! I also find the charts to be of higher quality than a lot of the ones that one can find in games people recommend to play instead of this. Also the difficulties are perfectly fine. I guess the people calling it 'easy' are used to the kind of trash high difficulties most free vertical scrolling rhythm games churn out. But in any good triple A rhythm game I've played, the difficulty isn't about eyeraping you with bulky overcharted maps paired with insane carpal tunnel inducing button mashing that makes NO sense with the music at all. It's impressive if you can do it, sure. But it isn't fun to look at, nor to play imo. Gotta be able to vibe with the music yo. And I am vibing in this game. The only thing I'd like for this game to improve on is that it remembers your custom settings. It's a bit annoying having to set it up all over again every time I run the game.

Pros: Plug and play, fancier graphics, fair amount of songs etc. Other comments about using Stepmania are true, however, that option is not plug & play and Pulsen is more polished. Cons: Limited tracks that you will eventually get bored of, DLC charts that don't add that much more content, Pulsen been in early access for several years and has not been consistently updated. Main Dev has not spent more time in the project and promises to complete the project have yet to be seen. Worth it to the average user. Probably not so much to the power users who know how to setup Stepmania and get their own tracks/songs setup.

Лучше играйте в osu!mania, она и бесплатная, и там вы большего добьётесь, и комьюнити там есть, и вообще там ограничений никаких нет, зачем вам это отродье? Однозначный рефанд, никому не рекомендую. Пофаниться конечно можно, но долго вы здесь не задержитесь.

The best Stepmania-inspired official games on Steam! I'm-a enjoying & loving it a lot too! It got so much of your favorite songs or maybe the songs that you will love much. But the VVVVVV music (in this game) will really give you the great feelings of dancing to the video game music remixes assuming that you enjoyed the Nintendo games. I always play on the hardest difficulty however I go one difficulty down if I can't get past the first half of each song but I'm not ever playing on novice or easy because I'm too good for those difficulties and it can also weaken my skills for this game. With the Steam Workshop support, we won't even have to lose our Stepmania songs by accident since it will be similar to Garry's Mod and Source Filmmaker where you create your own contents and upload to the Steam Workshop instead of putting in a file storage for others to download. I'm happily tuned for that. Even everybody should make charts of video game music remixes too (for Steam Workshop though)! I may need a dance pad for this game too because real girls are good at Dance Dance Revolution and other games that inspires it and 40+ year old men aren't. Even the Touhou vocals can really help out even more! It should even be on Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Wii U too unless it can't go on home gaming systems which will be too bad. This game is really great, it's again the best Stepmania-inspired official game on Steam ever. If you love rhythm games, you should actually buy & enjoy this game. I do. Neppu neppu!

Excellent! I have tried Stepmania 5 and outfox. This polished version is simple and functions without stress. The meager fee is also appreciated. The only item that could improve this game is a pump option (diagonal arrows). While the the free alternatives have a pump option and perhaps additional game variations, they are missing instructions and those game variations are not immediately functional. Pulsen Is fully functional and requires simplistic and easy dance pad configuration (assign pad areas to the game directions). Purchase this game and have a stress free and enjoyable experience! DDR방식의 리듬액션 게임이지만 게임스타일은 변속 기반의 오투잼과 흡사합니다. 난이도, 곡들마다 다르지만 변속 있는 곡들이 대부분입니다. 이 게임에서 좋았던 부분들만 꼽자면, 오투잼보다 변속감이 좀 더 부드럽고, 오투잼에선 경험할 수 없는 다양하고 색다른 이펙트들도 경험할 수 있었습니다. 또한 개인적으로 곡들도 은근 리드미컬하고 신나는 곡들이 많았던 것 같습니다. 플레이 설정을 통해서 자신의 스타일에 맞게 속도 조절,스킨,배치를 바꿀 수 있다는 점도 좋았습니다. 하지만 플레이를 하면서 문제점도 다수 발견하였는데, 제 컴이 나쁜것도 아닌데 가끔씩 버벅거리는 현상이 심하게 나타납니다. 특히 노트 싱크 여러번 맞출려고 하면 이 현상이 자주 발생하였네요. 도전과제도 이상하게 처음 이 게임을 구매만 했는데도 아직 켜보지도 않았는데도 깨지도 않은 도전과제 2개가 달성되어 있었고, 일정 콤보를 넘었는데도 도전과제 달성 자체가 안 되는 오류가 있습니다. 더 큰 문제는 열심히 플레이해서 얻은 기록들이 나중에 끄고 다시 켜면 싹 초기화되어있고..(분명 로그인은 되어있는데도 이렇습니다.) 또한 제가 하드 유저라 난이도 높은 것들만 플레이하다 보니, 콘텐츠도 금방 소모해버리고.. 곡들도 많이 부족한 느낌이었습니다. (참고로 DDR 패드 없이 키보드로만 플레이하고 올린 의견입니다.) 게임 스타일은 확실히 매력적이긴 한데, 오류도 많고 관리도 부실해서.. 세일로 구매했어도 추천드리기는 어렵네요. + 2019년 1월 업데이트 이후 최적화랑 기록 손실 관련 현상은 어느 정도 해결되었고 곡도 일부 추가된 것 같긴 한데 여전히 콘텐츠가 부족함을 느낍니다. 그리고 도전과제 버그는 아직까지도 안 고쳐졌네요.
