an andrew hussman visual novel? more linear than u think!!!! i dunno its just a thinly veiled clownifesto plain as day, im a newer homestuck fan as an adult now thanks to my gf who been in it since FOREVER but the thing is i did actually READ every word through to the epilogues over the past like, 5 months or so? (i'm abstaining from premarital AI usage currently in my entertainment choices especially) so reading this in the good ol summer of 2026, andrew cluss cluss' writing style was just fresher in my mind (i.e. VERy spiteful of the fans) so i was able to tell the parts of this he just could not gaf about doing well and kinda suspended my disbelief for them, oh my god the humor is still there tho.
the main character Z is just an insert of the internet loser asian girls he LOOOOOOVEs to love 🙄 preaching clussies own thoughts about putting on facepaint and existing in a constant state of mischievous whimsy and un-gender (i dunno if thats confusing then just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ read the damn thing its free now) (also look at his instragram posts and take note of the fits and their upload dates and compare it to the upload date of this game.) time and setting of covid era pandemic are still decently relevant because the whole world was ♥♥♥♥♥♥ after this point in time lets be fr, and i like the idea of a girl wrapping back around the globe and reconquering a land that conquered her parents lives (not to mention everything else they conquered) long before she was born, the main question asked in this is like: u can aLWAYS start a revolution when u wanna, but is it really a solution? [spoiler] it's ofc not a very good revolution, the writing does try to make it clear that her rage is just kinda petty and her revolution is a vehicle to take it out on america.,. i am NOT built like a revolutionist but some of her breakdowns mirrored my own in the past, and have my own abby to comfort me like wahh wahhh im so scaaared waahhh i dunno whatta doooo! heheh, im not a "kinnie" when my own family abused me into the same lines of thinking! i was raised like a trophy to support someone elses american dream! :/ [/spoiler]
the writing is quality, shortcuts are just taken for brevity rather than lack of thought, huss huss clussdude's main focus is the tiny asian american girl revolutionist thats still physically looked down upon by most people even while wearing platforms, and her... taller richer white MOM friend, i dunno thats the husscluss mind ig. i just went in not expecting homestuck kind of woahhh whatttttt but he still tries to insert [SUBVERSIVE GAME ELEMENT] into it which was a nice lil thing. also the clark powell soundtrack is amazing 🤩 just dont expect a WOW ending, it was a satisfying one at least
and ALSO ON ♥♥♥♥♥♥ percy HAHA [spoiler] god the way Z did that mfer reminded me of the dude i lost my virginty to, like, Hhhhhhahaha its like just a regular ass dude! of course it wasnt in a restaurant running from the police and was consensual but i was an adult and i probably couldve lost it whenever i wanted to (it was just an "eugh im sICK! of having this" moment) the maxxed tinder likes of creepy ass looking dudes was blsakdjf kinda my clue of that, i was very walled in and i knew creepy guys were out there but not THAT much, but the experience was really summed up as "haha his selfies r funny as ♥♥♥♥, his bio so dry, lemme go off on this guy in his dms and see how he handles it," some were just for fun doesn't feel great thinking back on it but yk, i think i was keeping an arms distance to protect myself, but i'd planned it all out, enacted it, got home safe, in hindsight felt more just like an experiment to me than anything else, and freakishly didnt really feel like it was the first time i had done that? and anyway YES i get this was very bpdemon BUT IM NOT THAT ANYMORE! IM WHIMSY! JUBILATION! GRRRR THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ FEMALE HYSTERIA! anyway yeah asian girls just toying with guys here and there basically, like the game is shockingly accurate in how it portrays Percy as just a say nothing dialogueless character at a point, some of the stronger willed asian wives do just vriska their husbands into tavros submission, flip the script (sometimes very easily) of the housewife and working husband dynamic, into MASTER and DOG! i just love the idea that the conversations with him are there but they arent real enough to actually be shown, he is just the BEST anti-character ive ever seent, complete npc behavior, the PERFECT pet, the FIXED man, this vn was pretty vucking funny, i wonder which neurotic asian woman friend dclussie took inspiration for this character from🤔 i dunno feels like this is just what happens to girls when their moms raise them like abusive lesbians thoooo [/spoiler]
