Project Rampage VR is a free VR game written for the movie Rampage coming out in April 20. It worked on my HTC Vive, Quest 3 via Steam Link, and Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. The locomotion is different from other games. You hold down on 1 trackpad and move that controller up and down for walk and use both controllers for sprint and climbing. With the speed and movement i was doing, i didn't feel sick. You can destroy maps of Chicago and Paris. You started with George the Ape, then i guess you can unlock the Wolf and Lizard. You grind quick matches to unlock dna choices and slots to put the dna in. The timed modes of play are: race through city to checkpoints, destroy stuff for points, hunt down fighting units. Then there is a rampage mode where you have to earn points before you die from being attacked. Makes good arms exercise. Looks like you have a good many hours of game play. Warning: Can cause motion sickness, maybe on the Vive. Try it, you may like it.
非常棒,非常好玩,化身庞然大物在城市搞破坏哈哈。
I can't even get through the tutorial because the mechanics of throwing seem to be completely screwed up. There doesn't seem to be anyway to throw things straight at that stupid chopper so I can't even play the game since passing the tutorial is apparently impossible.
Project Rampage VR is a free game promoting the movie "Rampage – Big Meets Bigger". The game consist of short objectives like scoring a highscore, speedrun or surviving certain waves of enemies. The goal is to unlock DNAs and stuff to boost up your favourite monster. There are 3 different monsters with unique abilities, each of them will be unlocked on a later stage. I only encountered one annoying bug, but it's still fun to play and for a free game it looks very polished so give it a try!
It works for oculus but it also doesn't work for oculus. The hands in the game aren't lined up with your own real hands, it's stupid hard to grab ♥♥♥♥, its almost impossible to hit the helicopters with anything, and moving around is a nightmare. The only reason i kept playing was because i was determined to beat it, not because i was having fun. if you're looking for a game that pisses you off because it doesn't work with your headset, then by all means... get it. But if you're looking for something fun and stress relieving, i suggest you keep away from this. im sure it works great with the recommended headsets but if you have an oculus, it's no use.
I had this game on Sega Master System in the early 90's. This was the only console we owned until 1998 when we got a PS1 for Christmas. So maybe my review is biased towards this game. But for a free movie tie in game and one that strikes chords with my early childhood, I love it. Theres still a fair amount of bugs however. I've fell through the map numerous times in about an hour of play. Also flying into the sky is a problem as well. Also as the Wolf I found my hands getting stuck in buildings and also stuck on top of buildings. Still there is a progression system which isn't terrible, the gameplay is not bad, graphics are 7/10, so all in all a pretty good free game. I have not made it to my favorite character, Lizzy, yet. But I will be coming back to this (hopefully after a patch or two) and will get my Lizzy too.
was good until further levels to of which are not even playable, they are too crowded with enemies and one level has a helicopter flying a least 10-20 times the buildings average height above
I've not used a lot of VR, so maybe other games handle the 'move your arms to move' thing better but in this game it's practically unplayable. Regular movement bairly registers, running is only recognized intermitantly and you can just forget about climbing. I was doing what the tutorial told me to do but I couldn't clime a thing. I managed to get ontop of that building with the helicopter one time and that was it. I got as fare as the speed trile, couldn't climb the building. It's wonky conect motion controls all over again. After playing King Kaiju I was looking for something with a better graphics and some more interesting things to do. This is pretty disapointing.
It's fun and it's free. Grab this while the license lasts! Anyone familiar with the film or the original arcade/console classic knows what to expect here. You're a big smashy monster running around causing utter mayhem and tossing military hardware around like ping pong balls. This stays true to the source material (both the film and the games) while keeping a fast, fun pace with enough variety and upgrades to keep it interesting. It only takes about 2hrs to 100% the game but I'm leaving it installed as it's fun for friends/guests. Here's some more detail about what you get here: - There are four varieties of level: smash; hunt; race; and survive. - When you complete a level, you either get a gene to beef up your monster or additional gene slots for all monsters. Genes come in four flavours to enhance one of the following: smashiness; tankiness; sprintiness; or climbiness. - Some genes unlock abilities that let you shoot spikes from your arms, blast everything around you with electricity, do a massive tailclub whip, fly, or do a big frog leap. - You can walk, run, punch thing, walk/run while punching things (my personal favourite), pick everything up, throw everything, smash everything. etc. - It's Rampage... in VR.... so as to be expected virtually everything is destructible. Need something to throw at a helicopter? Punch a hole in the building next to you and throw a wall at it. Or use a bus. Or smash two tanks together. Or throw a jeep into the air and play target practice with it. Downsides are that the controls took a few minutes to get used to and that George likes to fall through the ground when using spike shot. The mayhem could feel more impactful but that's a challenge in VR in general. Stronger audio would add some oompf to your hits. On a similar note, whenever you pick something up it becomes translucent in your hand which also detracts from the sense of chaos and is a lil immersion killing. All in all, pretty solid, if simple, title for $0 and it had me smiling while I played it.
