This game cannot be played as intended.[/quote] So basically the "developers" here took a basic public domain game, made a crap iteration of it with Godot (about 2 hours effort or less), put their own name on a public domain game, and shoved it on Steam Direct. Jesus wept, this is the absolute state of "indie" amateur developers. So, "Project Hangman" is a dead PvP game. Why did it fail? It's video game autopsy time! For gameplay purposes, because the user interface for this game is mostly just 2D static text/images... it might as well be a web page. It's functionally no different from a browser game. And we all know, Steam isn't here to compete with Chrome and Firefox. If the game can be done in a web browser, it's just not rich or compelling enough to appeal to serious gamers on PC. The graphics here are particularly awful for a glorified browser/flash game, minimalist, zero effort stuff, so bad that it actually stands out as one of the worst looking games on Steam. Quite an accomplishment. It's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. I've seen games made with MS-Paint that look better than this. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at [b]only 9 concurrent players[/b]... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Given that this free title won't increase your game collector count, is it worth your time to add it to your library? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.

Seems like the servers are down now, can't get past loading / connecting, unfortunate because this was a pretty fun little game to play with friends. :(

Иногда не хватает подсказок, чтобы сузить круг возможных вариантов, что приводит к случайным догадкам и быстрому проигрышу. Но именно это делает игру такой напряженной и захватывающей. Угадав сложное слово, испытываешь настоящее чувство удовлетворения. В целом, 'Project Hangman' - это прекрасная игра для коротких перерывов или для того, чтобы скоротать время в дороге. Она проста в освоении, но требует внимательности и хорошего знания языка. Рекомендую всем, кто любит головоломки и игры на логику.
