I think this game is good. It will become iconic. It will probably become amazing. But its got some major issues. most notably: - I think the game needs a proper tutorial theres a lot of stuff that happens and its hard to tell whats going on first time you play - the hit out mashing is completely broken against the cpu, its hard to hit the right button and 9 times out of 10 the cpu will just immediately get their bar to to the top. - the versus mode needs some more refinement, since as of now you cant select the stage youre playing or the opposing team if its the cpu
Footy FOOTY FOOOTYY ! having lots of fun with this. Took me a while to get the hang of it, but once you lock in on Dusty’s don’t Argue, you can run through the season mode. Would love to be able to see what cards are being played and picked up at anytime - and what cards I haven’t picked up yet. So great to play at Quarter time !

really, really fun and unique gameplay. feels so good when you score a goal like you actually earnt it. gets suuuuper exciting at times even versing the CPU which is hard enough to be actually challenging. really good and impressive arcade footy simulation, this game would go so hard in pubs next to the big buck hunter machine. The cards are hilarious and broden's voice lines are 100% funny as hell and feel exactly like a real game. bugs: i got an achievement for playing kick to kick mode even though i didnt do it. every now and then when i take posession and then immediately get tackled, i get stung for holding the ball. first online game i played desynced so bad by the end of the game - i would select a card but on my friends computer it looked like i chose a different card, then both cards were in play i think, broden stopped talking and weird stuff started to happen like we couldnt even pick the ball up anymore. the chaos was funny as hell but took us a minute to realise it was bugged. things that pissed me off: tiny players modifier is waaay too tiny, like unplayably tiny. CRT filter should be off by default, the game looks way better without it on. needs epic games account to play online 👎 weird choice but probably a crossplay thing idk the Y icon in the HIT OUT segment isnt pixel art, idk why but it makes me feel uncomfortable lmao overall worth buying at full price, fantastic game, runs well, fast, minimal menuing and downtime.
yep this is good.
Out of all the jank arcade australian rules roguelites this one takes the cake.
I had no idea what Aussie rules football was before getting this but now I'm addicted. This is a beautifully chaotic game, 10/10.
There's a lack of tutorial on some of what seem like CORE mechanics. The concept of this game is super fun, but there is are no ways to really get more than a small 5 slide tutorial when you have a question. What do the star players really do? Do they have better stats? Which stats? Why can't I see what the opponent picked during season mode when I start a match? Defense options seem to work only a 1/4 of the time, It's settings are incredibly basic with little to no customization and the game's player swapping feels absolutely random a good portion of the time. Can't recommend it in it's current state, even though I did have some fun with it.
