Arcade Retro
Arcade, and Retro and simple. Just 5 buttons, left, right, up, down and action. Nothing more than the bliss of gaming simplicity. Chiptune sound track that you will love and also eventually find, becomes an earworm. Explore the Kingdom of HurtLand, a land where everything and everyone you meet is broken. Explore secret passages, unlock portals to other lands and grow in your healing powers. Heal every last person beast and plant you can find. Every last one deserves healing. But sadly not all hurts can be healed. Play the game to find out more about what is hurting the Land.
I Cheated
Like all arcade games, the battles get a bit fast for old people, so all you need is a little help. Download RivaTuner, and drop the FPS to around 20 and it slows things up enough to not require dying too much in what is essentially an arcade game with RPG elements to it. The final boss battle has multiple levels, so save your power-ups for the very last. You will know it's the last stage, it does tell you. It may be possible to get it to work with a controller, most users could not. but a controller will defo make the game more immersive if you are lucky to get a working configuration. Not much more to it, probably an hour of gameplay, although the final ending lets you choose any one of about 60 different endings. Cute game, and probably a good one to add to the list of "Self-Rescuing Princess" games if ever I do decide to make such a list. Fun game, not too easy or hard, so a pretty good sweet spot in the difficulty. I failed healing a couple times, but didn't get frustrated. The art style is really cute and even pretty at times. Dialogue is funny. I love the Frallan sidequest. 8/10
