Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Plain good oldschool. If you like Ghouls&Ghosts 2 (and it's unfairness) you should give it a try. It's totally unclear to me why the game is so hated. Maybe play more Mario then?
Review
Primal Light is a pretty good action-platformer. It draws heavily from the old school days of the platformer genre, and the pixel art complements this impression.

The Highlights

The pixel art details are amazing. The backgrounds, the tile sets, the enemy sprites, and the bosses; it's all marvelous, high-quality pixel art. It's a top highlight.
The gameplay is like the old school 2D platformers. It's stage-based; there are checkpoints scattered in a few points, and you have 5 lives to spare. If you lose all your lives, you start from the beginning of the stage.
The game's difficulty is pretty good; it's challenging. You can choose 3 difficulties at the start; I chose the Veteran one, which is supposed to be the normal difficulty.
It's a stage-based game, but there are alternative paths you can go through, and the game rewards your exploration with extra lives, increased health/heals, and charms, which give you permanent gameplay attributes (like in Hollow Knight), but you can only equip two at a time at checkpoints.

Also, in each stage, you get a new movement ability, like slide, dash, or double jump.

The Drawbacks

I know it was common in the old school days, but the instant kill abysses are just... not fun. Especially in the endgame areas.

Conclusion:
Primal Light is a well-developed game; it has good pace, challenging difficulty, exploration, and breathtaking aesthetics. It's very short, but it was fun to play almost all the way through to the end. It's a good game; the developers should be proud. The score is:
7/10
A hard as nails throwback to Genisis/SNES era platformers. Pros: - Great soundtrack, art direction and spritework. - Eases you into most of its mechanics. - Tight, focused gameplay. Cons: - A little slow and limited in handing out upgrades. - Some of the chamrs felt useless.
graficznie bomba, ale przekombinowana, poziom trudności zbyt wysoki. Zwłaszcza dalsze levele gdzie przejście x plansz, jeden błąd i od początku, aż dojdzie się gdzieś do momentu autosave, ale wcześniej można zęby zjeść. Odradzam, chociaż grafika i muzyka piękne
el juego esta muy bien me gustaria que tuviera una actualizacion de hogueras donde puedes regenerar los frascos y no esperar a morir para que te las den nuevamente ya que es muy cansado volverlo a rejugar.
I bought Primal Light in a sale a few years ago. The first level was a bit frustrating and I had problems to get the timings right. So it landed on my pile of shame. Recently I gave it a second chance (cleaning up the pile...) and after getting past the first boss, I got used to the game mechanics and actually enjoyed it very much. The nice pixel graphics look like a premium Neo Geo game from back in the days (Magican Lord maybe?) and after some practice the controls feel tight and precise. Levels and enemies are quite diverse and colorful. If you are into 16-bit arcade platformers, this is the right game for you.
There's a little jank here and there, but what a fun and satisfying platformer for the price. Super underrated.
