The game itself, Pretty Girls Escape, falls into the escape block puzzle genre. Players navigate character blocks through challenges, aiming to clear stages by eliminating connected blocks of the same color. The strategic movement of blocks left and right guides the character blocks to the exit. Each stage introduces various obstacles, adding complexity to the puzzle-solving process. The goal? The game itself is a bit of what I'd consider a casual puzzle solving game, a bit of color matching and Tetris meshed together. There are 6 puzzles for each girl, and as you continue unlocking them the difficulty increases. You also have a challenge mode with some additional puzzles of higher difficulty. As you complete puzzles you'll unlock points which are then used to unlock costumes and backgrounds. These don't serve much of a purpose outside of allowing you to create your own custom diorama. It's very easy to create a scene, and is a nice way to give your mind a reprieve from solving puzzles. I'm not exactly somebody who you'd go to for help with puzzles, in fact I'm probably the last person I'd suggest. Whatever part of the brain is supposed to work for solving puzzles just doesn't seem to be available for me. I'm daft. Dense. A little slow even. But, I will say the puzzles in the game are for the most part fairly easy to figure out within a few tries. I quite enjoyed my experience with Pretty Girls Escape Plus, though I do think more variation could have been given to our Anime themed ladies. I feel like they're all relatively similar in appearance. It'd of been nice for them to have some sort of personality as well, but I understand that's not really the point of the game. So, in my mind they're probably all just very nice people who like to practice magic and bake delicious bread items. Like Baguettes.
