About
Presidents vs. Zombies (ft. Elon Musk)
In a parallel universe, the world is already full of robots. They wash dishes and serve the few humans left after a pandemic. Suddenly, the robots start attacking humans — their behavior flips from friendly to hostile. The event becomes a global catastrophe.
Elon Musk, owner of the main robot manufacturer, discovers how to disrupt the pirate signal that is hijacking the robots and turning them into "zombies." He calls the presidents of several countries, and they agree to work together to save the world — and to redeem his company's name.

Life changing.
Pejes Vs Zombies is a small-scale but unapologetically bold indie action title developed and published by Ricardo Alonso Pina that blends wave-based zombie combat with overt political satire. From the moment it introduces its premise, the game makes it clear that it is not aiming for subtlety or broad neutrality. Instead, it embraces caricature, cultural references, and humor rooted in contemporary Mexican political discourse, presenting an experience that feels highly specific, personal, and intentionally provocative. This focus gives the game a distinct identity that separates it from the many generic zombie shooters on Steam. At its core, the gameplay revolves around surviving increasingly intense waves of zombie enemies across a variety of compact arenas. The loop is simple and familiar: move, aim, shoot, and manage positioning as undead hordes close in from multiple directions. Weapons and power-ups provide short bursts of empowerment, allowing players to mow down enemies more efficiently or survive longer under pressure. The emphasis is on immediacy and chaos rather than careful strategy, creating an arcade-like rhythm where reflexes and constant motion matter more than long-term planning. What makes Pejes Vs Zombies stand out is its framing. Rather than anonymous soldiers or fictional survivors, players control exaggerated representations of real-world political figures, turning current events and public personas into action-game avatars. Enemies are similarly stylized, labeled and designed in ways that lean heavily into satire rather than realism. For players familiar with the political context being referenced, this adds a layer of humor and commentary that elevates the experience beyond its mechanical simplicity. For others, the references may feel opaque, but the exaggerated tone still communicates that the game is meant to be taken playfully rather than literally. Level design is straightforward, with arenas serving primarily as stages for enemy waves rather than spaces for exploration. Locations are themed and visually distinct enough to keep matches from feeling completely repetitive, but they rarely introduce new mechanics or structural twists. As a result, the challenge curve depends largely on enemy density and pacing rather than evolving gameplay systems. This works well in short sessions, where the immediacy of combat remains engaging, but extended play can reveal the limits of the underlying design. Visually, the game embraces a rough, low-budget aesthetic that aligns with its indie origins. Character models and environments are functional and exaggerated rather than polished, reinforcing the satirical tone. Animations and effects are basic, and while Unreal Engine provides a stable foundation, the presentation clearly prioritizes concept over technical refinement. Sound design follows a similar pattern: gunfire, enemy noises, and ambient effects do their job but rarely add dramatic flair. The result is an experience that feels handmade and unapologetically unrefined. Multiplayer options, including cooperative play, offer some additional longevity by allowing players to tackle waves together. Coordinating movement and fire adds a small tactical layer, especially when enemy numbers escalate, and shared chaos often amplifies the game’s humor. However, multiplayer does not fundamentally change the gameplay structure, serving more as a social enhancement than a transformational feature. Progression systems are minimal, which keeps the game easy to pick up but limits long-term depth. There are no elaborate skill trees or evolving character builds, so mastery comes primarily from familiarity with enemy patterns and weapon behavior. This simplicity makes the game accessible but also means that once players have seen most enemy types and arenas, surprises become rare. Ultimately, Pejes Vs Zombies succeeds less as a refined action game and more as an expression of creative intent. Its willingness to fuse political satire with zombie survival gives it a personality that many indie titles lack, even if that personality narrows its audience. Players looking for polished mechanics, deep systems, or neutral themes may find it lacking, but those drawn to unconventional concepts, cultural specificity, and irreverent humor will likely appreciate its audacity. In the end, Pejes Vs Zombies is best approached as a niche indie experiment: a fast-paced, tongue-in-cheek zombie shooter that uses simplicity and satire as its defining traits. It may not offer lasting depth or technical finesse, but it leaves a memorable impression through its confidence, cultural voice, and willingness to turn political commentary into playable chaos. Rating: 6/10
