This game was very chill jerry, perry, terry, and larry were very nice. Who left the people in the the microwave for too long... Rookie mistake.
Honestly pretty unsettling.
sadly this game is still not finished, and there isn't really anything to do but explore a pretty boring map.
This game is unique, it is definitely not for everyone. But for a horror game built in Unity by one developer I felt like I really did get my $2 worth when it came to getting spooked. It took me a sec to get the swing of things but after a 45 play sesh I genuinely felt some fear and anxiety! So for the price and some a really good atmosphere, yes I recommend this game that's valued at two Arizona Iced Teas!
Sehr Gutes Spiel. Die Map ist mit vielen liebevollen Details ausgestattet wie z.B. verkohlte Menschen auch der Hund ist äußerst gelungen. Ich freue mich auf Updates für weitere Horror Nächte.
Abandonware. There is nothing to this game. What a shame. I backed it on Kickstarter 5 years ago.
This game looks interesting, but it is severely lacking. The "Chapter 0" is a barren town, where you need to find Xs on the walls, and around the X, is a collectable. You do this 4 times, to the tune of a small audio prompt and a static, non-combative change to the environment in the form of static models performing idle loops. You then repeat this. 2 further times. In the same town. The only excitement came from Chapter 1/2, which was a short chase, leading to a "puzzle" which is very hit and miss. You will be recreating that chase over and over. from the start. The chase lasts about 2 minutes until you get another oppertunity. Even then, the puzzle is to find 3 statues, go onto one of the 3 bloody circles and press a button corrosponding to the statue you collected, and hope it was right. Repeat twice more, then it ends with the same ending as the game over. There is no plot. There is no tangible threat for the first hour+ of the "gameplay". It is a glorified easter egg hunt in what is no doubt a unity asset store town. you can't even climb the ladders, and there are many places you can get stuck, unable to complete the game. A big disappointment. I expected at least a bit more from this.
The game has repetitive content and is not funny.
A lot of potential! The german Youtuber that gave you a bad review below actually got me into this game. Thanks, Malte! Yes, the gameplay is simple. But fear is a simple emotion. And so is dread. And this game is dreadful alright. I'm honestly fine if this never gets a combat system and remains a "walking simulator" because it works so well. Simplistic horror games that have you collect items as everything gets worse inevitably get the reference to Slender: The eight pages and it's well deserved. The small world you created is intriguing. Everybody knows that the best director in horror is the brain of the viewer and you gave us plenty to work with. The empty city we wake up in is dreadful in its simplicity. Where is everyone? Who's blood is this? The first person POV is very low, are we playing a child? Then you collect the first item and THEY appear. There's no lore, no information on who and what they are, you simply turn around and they're there. Wonderful effect and wonderful design. The way they look at you as you pass by, Ugh! I dreaded collecting every new item because of what might happen next. When that thing greeted me under the table of the starting house, I jumped in my seat because the atmosphere had me so tensed up. The buildings are understandably still a work in progress, but the run-down part of the city is already perfect with its ruins. Your description mentions that you want to create a sense of isolation and hopelessness and that is very much the case. Locked in in that empty city surrounded by mountains, completely alone, watched by what ever the hell that is, is the perfect setting for that cosmic horror feeling you're aiming for. You are working on something great here and if this is just the pre-alpha, I'm exited for what's to come. To quote Emperor Palpatine: We will watch your career with great interest.
