About Unsolved Stories
Welcome to Unsolved Stories, an immersive open-world experience that brings the soul of Chicago to life with next-generation fidelity. Chicago is more than just a backdrop; it is a living, breathing tapestry of history, architecture, and atmosphere. We invite you to experience the full spectrum of the city—from the towering, sun-drenched skyscrapers of the waterfront to the raw, rhythmic pulse of the diverse urban neighborhoods.
A Living Film Set Think of the Unsolved Stories map as a vast, living film set. While we provide you with a sprawling canvas of exploration, we also offer curated scenarios and narratives that bring our world to life. In each new episode, you will encounter unique characters with their own stories, all unfolding within a meticulously detailed environment. Our goal is to balance the grandeur of the city with the intimate, personal moments of its inhabitants.
The Art of Detail For us, realism is a commitment. Every object in our world—from the smallest street lamp to the sprawling skyline—has been individually crafted by our dedicated graphics team. We haven't just built a city; we have sculpted a world where every meter tells a story. Whether you are exploring the bustling energy of a crowded plaza or finding peace in a quiet, deserted alley, every corner is designed to feel authentic and intentional.
An Evolution of Vision The journey of Unsolved Stories is a story of constant growth. Having evolved through the foundational power of Unreal Engine 3 and 4, we have now embraced Unreal Engine 5.8. This transition has allowed us to push the boundaries of lighting, detail, and performance, creating a visual feast that captures every subtle nuance of the Chicago atmosphere.
The Journey Ahead Our first major chapter of the Chicago journey is nearing completion. With the foundation laid and the "big picture" established, our focus is now shifting to the heart of the experience: the Gameplay Systems. We are refining every mechanic—from how you move and interact with the world to how you earn your place within it.
Unsolved Stories is a project in constant motion. We are building a world that doesn't just sit there to be looked at; it lives, breathes, and waits for you to step into its story.

In it's current state, even taking into account it's early access, I can't reccomend this for various reasons. First up is content, there's barely any, you can add bots for an FPS game but the bots are dumb. I tried clicking on Join server but nothing happened so no idea what multiplayer is like and would be suprised to find even 1 player anyway. Perfomance wasn't great at 2560x1440p on a G-sync monitor and GTX 1080, you would get stutter on some parts of the map when turning around. I couldn't play on Epic settings, that was tottally unplayable, Medium settings made it look crap, so settled for High settings and turned of a couple of other settings, even then I wouldn't say it was silky smooth, it's not like there's a lot going on, just buildings, not even any traffic, and more stuff to be added later so can't see things improving. I wouldn't say it looked anything special either, some places looked quite drab, dull and plain, you can't even walk through the bushes without them stopping you. I hope they abandon going down the FPS route and concentrate more on the stories (not yet available) and goings on of a city and make the game unique rather than just another boring FPS game, because with the size of the map and low player base it's not fun to play with dumb bots. I'll be keeping my eye on it, it has potential so long as it's unique and interesting. But I feel even for early access this was released way to early, you need some kind of content that will make you return but this sadly lacks it atm, and what content there is atm is just a waste of time, refund pending.
if you want to support the dev's,you can buy it.As a project in the construction phase, the graphic quality is too high.Full review can not be done until gameplay and story modes are added
Game does not run well even on low settings, dead servers and misleading store description, not even worth a purchase when on sale.
I'm watching for this project from the start and I was very hyped at first. But this game is in very early version still. 90% discount was very pleased for me so I decided to support the developer. But... Tried to start Walking tour twice. It loaded at first for about 10 minutes but freezed after it and it's hard to close the game eating all PC resources (Far Cry 5 plays on ultra). Refund for now and waiting till it will be at least half of playable.
The game has hips of potential and to say the least it feels now like a showcasing demo. The game feels like a huge AAA dinosaur with no skeleton (the gameplay being the skeleton). The graphics are immense, gigantic, amazing, its unreal engine 4 ultra maxed, very detailled graphics with really good design, atmospheric (the city looks amazing, the neighborhoods too, it feels like a city). Ok so here we go : Positive : Unreal Engine 4 looks gorgeous, amazing detailled scenes with amazing lightning effects and monstruous realistic feel negative : -No gameplay infrastructure, no real playability -Feels like a tech demo for now, but a holly amazing monster tech demo -Everything is to make, the soundtrack, the gameplay, the story (if thats even important, they could just make a FPS in chicago or else) -so yes basially everything is to think about ,to developp, to structurate. IF IT WAS ME, i would make this game into some sort of action game taking places on maps in chicago, cause i dont wanna walk around and get bored, i want some epic action. I even think they should rename the game after doing some work on it, if they take the direction of a action game taking place in real life locations they should change to name to "DOWNTOWN WRECKING" or "HOME OF DAMAGE" or something, i have no idea something cool. Another dream game it could become is some sort of Racing Game, with ridiculous ammount of cars through the city and environnments, really think about it devs. Game would have a mp infrastructure or solo, to choose. for now i hope the devs are really thinking about their game and making some sort of infrastructure to it, gameplay wise, a direction. Much love
DONT buy this game compleatly messed up my computer. cant play ANY of my other games whatsoever... its just nothing but a scam
I didn't play much but from what I've seen, it has a lot of potential. Ok, gameplay wise, it's quite empty to say the least, but when you purchase an EA, you place a bet. I'm not the kind who bet often. But at the time of this review it's 90% off. I got it for less than 2 euros. For now It looks good, it feels good. I wanna recommand because I think it's worth it. I wanna get more of it. I want to see this game being completed.
