I was gifted this game through The Lazy Otter, which connects developers’ games with content creators. I really enjoy sim games, though I’ll admit at first I wasn’t sure what to expect here. At first glance, it seemed pretty simple—but once I got into the rhythm of the tutorial and started to see the bigger picture, I was hooked. We hopped off planning to stream it later that night—and sure enough, we did. What was supposed to be just a couple of hours turned into nearly 5 and a half! My crew and I had a blast with it. For a first game, you did GREAT, and I hope you keep polishing and updating it. Some ideas/suggestions we thought of while playing: A quicker way to get to the center of town (maybe a teleportation circle upgrade or something similar). Additional potions, or potions with variable effects. A little more story content! Nothing too heavy, but expanding on the “search for the old shopkeeper” thread would be awesome. Overall, I love the game so far—and so does my crew. Thank you for creating it!
Lustig mit ein paar Freunden zwischendurch.
Only played a few hours so far, but so far I'm really enjoying this game! I LOVE that you can open and close the shop whenever you like, it completely eliminates the pressure that you get from a lot of other sim/management games that I don't enjoy at all. This game is actually relaxing and you can take things at your own pace completely. The only things I wish were different is if we could jump just a little higher (to scale the little walls when I'm collecting ingredients) and to actually be able to pause. I know time isn't really super vital, but if I have to go afk for a few minutes I have to save and exit or risk missing windows for events, harvesting ingredients etc. Otherwise I'm really enjoying it and looking forward to building up my store!
I cant imagen playing this single player, this game is so much fun with a friend. The game needs to think more in terms of Co op for example adding a second cauldron for your buddy. This game could turn from a 6/10 to a 8/10 game by just adding a second cauldron and who knows how far if other co op improvements where implemented. Great game and it really put me in a good relaxed mood while playing it. Me and my friend hated finishing this game because we didn't want the fun to stop. Will be back if they do big updates.
This game is really fun, especially with friends. Sure, it's rough around the edges and has a few bugs, but definitely worth the play. The potion mechanics make it so you typically need to take notes to get better; it's not just click a recipe in a book and automatic. Basic math skills make life a bit easier, especially early on. 3-4 people is the golden zone, since one person can harvest, one can make potions, one can man the store, and if you have 4, the 4th can do flex work or focus on quests. The game was done in under 10 hours, but getting the last potions and finishing all of the sidequests takes a bit more. If you're an achievement hunter, it's very doable, but definitely takes a bit of time. All in all, a fun chill game. Check it out.
Overall pleasant experience. I like the color pallets, world looks pretty to watch. Base game loop is simple but I wanted to kept going and ended up going from my usual 2 hours first impressions to taking person from community in and playing 3.5 hours and I want to keep going! I did get stuck on tutorial because I threw bottle to other side of the world and seems like you needed to put that in trash to continue so probably wanna check that out. I would love to see race specific reputation system that maybe opens up like special shops that lets you buy special decor from them or specialize in specific potion types for that race or something like that. A lot of potential to improve with skill trees from levels/reputation system with faction/different biomes where you can buy a shop in? Didn't get to late game so don't really know how that will look or if there is already plans on some of these things I mentioned. Currently a good game, but has potential to be great game! ^^ Not too deep yet but deep enough for me to go back for more. 4/5 Roniinis.
This game is good fun, it's a nice co-op experience, the art style is cosy-meets-fantasy. I hope it continues to be worked on, as my girlfriend and I ran out of things to do after 14 hours, I will say we were hooked for that time though!
