There comes a time in every man's life when he needs to look in the mirror and ask himself how exactly he got to that place. You have to truly reflect on the decisions you have made along the path that led you to the place of your final reckoning. It's still not clear, even to me, why I bought this game. There's nothing wrong with it, with those nudity scenes it's perfectly stellar. But when you look at it as a choice, you realize how damaged I and the rest of humanity are. What prompted me to buy a game like this? What part of my soul felt so empty that I thought a virtual girl could fill it? When I look into the infinite depths of my own loneliness, I see a pool of reflection. My face is not there, there is no face. There are only tears in that puddle, tears of shame, loss and confusion. If it were up to me again, I know I would buy it in a heartbeat, I know I would load it up and skip the countless window prompts so I could get a single bite of the pornographic images that are available online. However, despite the abundance of naked virtual women waiting in the digital sphere, I chose to purchase this game and dedicate hours of my life to it. That time will never return to me, it is lost just like my soul and like time I fear never to find it again. There is something broken inside me, something that desires sensations beyond my reach, something that moans every night knowing that there is no real princess, it is simply an illusion. In my quest to find meaning in this long life, I searched for the colorful lights and sounds of a world that only exists in a pop-up window on my computer. I'm not sure what the moral of this review is, I'm not sure of my place within the universe, all I know is that no amount of virtual girls can cure the big rot that has plagued me I really need money for treatment...

I think I bought this on sale at 50% off, but even then this is disappointing. The art is good and the scenes that were animated were well done, but the story was absolutely terrible. The succubus was so annoying, the MC was the a whiny crybaby who complained the whole time about everything. Dude we get it, you made a bad deal, get over it. There were scenes that made no sense, like when the psychopath chic said she wanted to make the MC feel better and the text described them banging, instead the graphic showed her m*sterbating. The characters were boring and uninteresting, and the achievements do not work. You can't get like 5 of the achievements without some kind of messing around with code or external tools. There's at least 1 missing scene from each girl, no idea why, and when you try to get the harem ending by having all characters at soulmate, it doesn't even come up as an option. Maybe it did in a previous version. also, you don't just chat to the girls, you follow a linear path that barely works and is broken, unlocking all clothes by just clicking through the options. There is no game-play. I hope they fix this for the future, but I will never know because I am unlikely to ever reinstall the game.

This is a light recommend that’s going to sound like a negative review, but Steam doesn’t have a maybe option, and I would still recommend this to someone who feels like they can get past my critiques. What you're getting is the theme park ride version of the story from the original. It's going to go through paces like the snapping of your fingers. Even knowing the story somewhat from the original I felt whiplash at times (for example, the mc talking about how a specific character makes him feel when with her that, gameplay wise, we haven't spent any time with because of unavailability). The relationships early on are okay, but mid to late girls are progressively rushed through. Two of the original girls aren't even in this one, but given the aforementioned rush that's perhaps understandable, if disappointing. At the same time it does offer some expanded characterization of the girls, which is nice, though again this suffers with later girls. I wish more was done with this, because as it stands the game does feel like it's just trying to get you to the next cg somewhat frequently. The tone towards the end was rather different from the original as well. It has multiple post endings (nothing big, just a cg and a blurb), but I'm hesitant to try going through the whole game again to try and get the rest. It sounds like there is some difficulty in a few of them as well, going off what others are saying. I'll probably slowly work through again to try, because I do think it's a solid basis. Though I sadly don’t know how they could improve it without a large overhaul. Gameplay wise, well, it's a visual novel. Pick right or wrong choices or choices that don't matter. You're getting a summary of the original with some changes. That's perfectly fine, and is a commendable translation from a free to play game to a paid version. The writing is enjoyable enough, but it suffers from the rushed story. It does try to mimic the feel of the original a bit in the UI, and it’s a cute touch, but there’s not much impact on the gameplay from having it. Not the most glowing review for a recommended, but while I have my disappointments it's not a bad game and the scenes are nice (almost all redone from the original). Its not going to appeal to everyone, but if you're only here for the cg then you have a decent spread (though it seems there is also some difficulty in unlocking them all, and there isn't a hint system to get them). And at the end of the day it’s still the only way to get the ‘full’ PW experience (or some variant) with only a one time cost.

[h2]Решили попробовать себя в B2P[/h2] Pocket Waifu Rekindled - компиляция предыдущего опыта JNT Games. Её даже можно считать эдаким ремейком-перезапуском, так как освежили ряд старых артов из первой части, для ключевых героинь. К вопросу и удивлению тех кто не понимает почему настолько положительные оценки, ребята, посмотрите предыдущие бесплатные игры и всё поймёте. Для этого издателя/разработчика Rekindled действительно прогресс. Да, несмотря на охапку багов (баги локализаций, пропажа текста и т.д.) и перенос некоторых косяков из предыдущих игр. Мда... Не все скопированные элементы, из той же Shelter 69, как анимации постельных сцен, Idle-анимации мне нравится. Idle-анимация в оригинальной Pocket Waifu была скудной, но без перебора как 69. Угадайте откуда взяли здешнюю Idle-анимацию? Так же на фоне предыдущих игр что делаются при участии N кол-ва художников, эта игра выглядит более целостной, тут снижено количество разносола. Скорее да чем нет, но цена полной стоимости всё же "амбициозная" и оптимистичная.

I love this game! it feels polished, the graphics are beautiful, and you do not have to spend hours just to unlock the good stuff ;). I really hope they continue to make more content for this game (new girls, new areas, and maybe different viewing options for the girls in the cloths area would be amazing) 10/10
