About
PlanetX is a real-time strategy MMO that redefines large-scale multiplayer warfare. The battle begins on Planet Alpha, where dozens of players start with seven land plots each. Unlike traditional flat maps, the entire game takes place on a fully spherical planet, adding an extra layer of strategy to territorial expansion.

Players must build and expand their empire, constructing various structures and managing resources. The first challenge is achieving a perfect balance between resource extraction and production to fuel economic growth. Once a player amasses enough wealth, it's time to assemble a powerful army, featuring tanks, aircraft, and missiles.

A unique aspect of PlanetX is its energy-based warfare - tanks and aircraft are fully electric, requiring charging stations before heading into battle. Units will fight until they run out of energy or are destroyed, making strategic deployment and resource management crucial.

The ultimate goal? Total planetary domination. The first player to conquer every available land plot on Planet Alpha claims victory and earns a ticket to Planet Beta, where even greater challenges await. As multiple Alpha champions arrive on Beta, the war escalates to an entirely new level.
Everything in PlanetX - construction, battles, resource trading, and land deals - happens in real time, ensuring a fast-paced, dynamic experience. Do you have what it takes to rise as the supreme ruler of the galaxy?

First of all, it's free to play, so I don't know how there are so many negative reviews. Just try it yourself. It reminds me of an old game called Outscape. The winners will be the ones who can put in a lot of hours and check constantly for attacks. You have to accept that it's the kind of game that rewards being online, a lot, and you can lose most of your buildout while you sleep, work, take a shower ... It's a rush when you're in your attack wondering if the other player is going to log in. You'll find yourself wondering what will happen while you're offline. The in-game tactics provide some challenges, and there are phases/progression to your buildouts. Try it out but when you can give it a good amount of time your first day. Building out aggressively under your login timer is important.

I like it. Clean images and fairly easy to understand. Took me a few tries to find balance.
Wow WOw W000t! Can't stop playing !
It has some cool features, hexmap on a globe is great. This implementation might not be. Plays like a mobile game brought to Steam PC. The music was so bad it was like uh so painful to almost just quit, but I endured. Game guided me through building a city, and then I had to wait 3:30+ seconds to do more stuff? Kind of boring. The interface lacks keyboard navigation so it is easy to feel stuck in the map. There is a globe you can spin SEPARATELY....... (another sign of mobile first development) And finally the options setup menu is so much exactly screaming this is a direct port of a mobile game. I have no problem with ports of mobile games if they are done with respect to how PC people do things! So yeah back to the wait. It was not interesting enough to just sit there and wait am I supposed to buy tokens to not wait? No thanks Warthunder calling!
Good game with lots of potential and active development. Currently free and hopefully intends to stay away from p2w, but will monetize in some way in the future. Plenty of behind the scenes things to figure out and strategies to develop for those who are willing to put in the work and explore the possibilities. Active Discord community. Nice graphics and some sounds/music. I especially like the plants on the 2nd planet (Beta). Not too complicated, not too slow or fast. I expect there will be lots of new things to play with once the server issues are worked out. The servers were updated and restarted several times over the past week, which really didn't amount to anything more than I had to restart my client and was ready to get back in. The process was fast and painless (no data/gameplay loss).
Before anything is said, this game is being done by 1 guy so have a little faith. The game does has had some random disconnects but it's usually the developer working on something and all it takes is a little game restart which shouldn't even take a minute to do and its bearable. This game has a great idea for an RTS style game, it's slow paced at start but will pick up quickly as you progress. It reminds me of the P2W mobile RTS games where you build up and attack other players but this has 0 pay to win at all (that's what P2W means). It definitely requires strategy on what you place where and when you want to start building things. There is a noobie protection timer which is 24 hours but it can fall off if you expand too much early therefore leading to early battles but this would require both players to expand to the point of the timer falling off. Probably a bunch of other stuff to say but just check it out for yourself, what do you got to lose it's free This game will have you losing track of time, possibly even losing sleep, but it is 100% worth the price (free) and still early access really, if you have any problems you can join the discord and the developer and others are more than welcome to help.
Perfect for aspiring intergalactic diplomats!
