PlanetVRium

‘PlanetVRium’ is pretty much what you might suspect it is. Yes, it is a planetarium style app in which you can learn a little bit about the stars, constellations and the rotation of the planets. While it is far from the best looking planetarium app (Homestar VR still holds that title) it does what it needs to do and you can learn a little bit about the night sky. I wish it has locational settings so you could see what the night sky is where you live and I do wish it had more educational /narration to go with all the images. But for just £1.69 you get a solid app that does what it needs to do and even has a small guided tour (with narration) of the movements of the plants which is a nice touch.

Looking forward to future updates, especially showing more examples of scaling of spacetime--there's plenty of material to cover. I'm sure the experience would be better to try on a VR set with pancake lenses and a dark uOLED instead of this LED fresnel Quest 2, but that's a hardware limitation

I can tell straight away that this is going to suit me perfectly. I already know a few stars and constellations fairly well, but using this app for the first time I was able to point to, and name, a couple of dozen stars before their name came up on the display. This gives me confidence that I can relate the headset view to the real world, and thereby use this app to train myself for better knowledge. I find most of the ground environments quite irritating due to their brightness. For me, I'd much rather have a dark grey floor, and perhaps a bit of luminescence around the horizon. I absolutely love the accurate rotation, and the ability to set longitudinal location. I also really enjoyed the 3-D visualisation feature - especially around Orion and Taurus - the depth provided by the headset helped me to grasp the distances involved for the first time. I also like being able to set magnitudes for city or country skies. You've done a great job and deserve to be appreciated by a much wider audience. Hardware - Vive Pro 2.

Now, this is a great product for its cost, You can see stars, and preview for some nebulas and galaxies. And also - good luck finding anything similar, for enthustast astronomers to just explore the night sky - this is perferct! Just remember - visual expiriences dont have exit, and controls are locked sometimes. Giving this one a like and support, well done!

I like the idea but I can't see the southern hemisphere. Is this a bug or the way the program is designed? I can't move the view up or down. The only things that seem to work are clicking a star and getting details about that object. You can make the view move from side to side but the view seems to move the opposite direction to what I expect. I can't do anything to get the constellations to appear. I can't turn the music off. I wish there was a guide.

Very Educational and relaxing. I preferred the floating in space view. I Have a Quest 2 and used Virtual Desktop to stream this game. I have a mesh wifi system and multiple hop from headset to PC so even Steam VR Home can be flaky for me but this program ran smoothly.
