Pixel Puzzles Mosaics

A little bit of a different spin to the usual Pixel Puzzle games. Instead of jigsaw puzzles you solve ...well, mosaics. I do prefer the jigsaw puzzles but this one was still very much enjoyable to solve.

It's fine, not great, but fine. Puzzles seem to be reused images from the other Pixel Puzzle games, presented in mosaic form instead of jigsaw puzzles. None are terribly difficult, some just have more pieces than others and take longer to complete. Similar to the other Pixel Puzzle games, the edges of pieces are oddly blurred, making it difficult at times to match pieces up visually before moving them, The Preview and Highlight functions help with finding the correct pieces for a spot. Fine as a casual time waster or "just chilling out" thing, if you enjoy doing jigsaws and mosaic image puzzles. 1 achievement for each puzzle completed. Not sure if Trading Cards actually still drop- I've had this game for a long time, and may have idled it for the card drops a long time ago. At the time of this review I still have the 2 largest (highest piece count) puzzles to complete- so my total playtime may not be accurate (if I did idles this years ago). {b][u]***Accessibility***[/u][/b] There are no options to change resolution, sound, no colorblindness settings. The only Options are Fullscreen On/Off (Fullscreen or Windowed), and "Clear Save Data (if you want to play the puzzles over again after you've completed them all). Fine for Deaf or HoH players- there is no audio needed to complete the puzzles. Not great if you have vision issues or any form of colorblindness- the game seems to be set for one resolution only and no settings to adjust text size or UI elements, no colorblindness settings. Some of the bright colors (and having no settings to change brightness or gamma) may be bad for people with certain neurological conditions. A few puzzles did give me a bit of a headache, but not a full-on migraine, but since migraine triggers for people who have them differ from person to person- it could be a problem for some. Nothing bothered my daughter (who has Epilepsy and was watching me complete some of the puzzles), but she has very specific flashing/strobing triggers for absence seizures- so the way the puzzle suddenly flashes up a bright green screen when you complete it may be an issue for some, or cycling through Preview and Highlight could cause motion sensitive people to have issues (Epilepsy or ASD). Honestly- a pretty big fail for Accessibility on many fronts except for Deaf or HoH players.

Though this game is free, it comes with a cost... You'll be paying with the precious hours of your finite life, as you waste time attempted some of the most mediocre puzzles created. Some of the images used for these mosaics are purposefully repetitive & similar in design; which makes them feel tedious, rather than rewarding upon completion. One of the images (the wax candles mosaic, specifically) was either created using AI, or was assembled in Photoshop by a blind, orphaned, pre-pubescent child. Overall, it's not worth the time or Steam achievements.
