Pixel Puzzles 2: Paintings

[h1]This is not a positive review. It's just not a negative one either. The store page doesn't lie about the content, so people who bought this knew exactly what they are getting and they did get it.[/h1] This time they didn't even bother with original content and instead put into the shredder some pre-existing paintings. And you know what they say about painting — you need to back away to truly appreciate the broad strokes. These jigsaws are very noisy and can be very contrasted in places. The artists often have different to you ideas for depictions of some things. And, well, the context. You gone think about the blue / gold dress. And then a couple of puzzles have straight flat cuts. Excuse me, what the hell? Some of these jigsaws are ones of the hardest i encountered. This can be a good challenge for people who want it. But also this game(-thing) is not exactly fitting for people who seek a series of tiny successes providing validations to the brain chemistry. It is what it is, but also you literally could take all these same paintings and put them into a freeware jigsaw cutter yourself. At least all the achievements are working, but there aren't any Steam trading cards.

Tohle je taková klasická hra ze série Pixel Puzzles. Co mě iritovalo a nešlo to vypnout byly pohybující se dílky po herní ploše. Ocenil bych, kdyby tahle funkce šla zcela vypnout, protože hledat dílek, který byl před chvílí někde a je nyní zcela jinde, je otrava. Za zmínku stojí nejrůznější druhy okrajů jednotlivých dílků, což mě občas vyvedlo z míry, protože někdy jsou opravdu nerozeznatelné od okrajů. Výběr klasických obrazů je dle osobního vkusu každého, ale já bych zvolil nejspíš jiná díla. Velikost jednotlivých puzzlů je tu pevně daná, začíná se od 60 kusů a končí u 350. Hudba je v pohodě a rozhraní taktéž. Hra naštěstí ukládá jednotlivá puzzle, takže není problém se k nim kdykoliv vrátit. Je také možné si na chvíli zobrazit vzor, což je rozhodně plusem u složitějších skládaček. Celkově hodnotím kladně, byť pár chyb by se našlo. Ale jak jsem psal na začátku - pokud jste hráli jakoukoliv hru ze série Pixel Puzzles, tak víte, co očekávat.

[h3] STORY [/h3] There is no story, background, or setup to the game. [h3] GAMEPLAY[/h3] All of the puzzles follow traditional puzzle building mechanics. The music and atmosphere are set to the theme of the puzzles. All of the puzzle pieces float around in the side panels and you can place them or move them as needed. There is a rotation mechanic that can be turned off in the options. There are a total of 25 puzzles to solve. [h3] PLAYTIME [/h3] The game is not very complicated however when you get to the third and fourth tier puzzles you are looking at 220, and 350 piece puzzles respectively. There is a save feature so if you start a puzzle, you could leave and finish it later. Play time is ~6-8 hours to get all achievements and complete all puzzles [h3] COMPLAINTS [/h3] There are no reference pictures to look at while building the puzzles except during the loading of the puzzle. [h3] REPLAYABILITY [/h3] There is NO replayability on this game as there is no end game mechanics, and no puzzle randomness. [h3] RECOMMENDATION [/h3] I recommend this game to anyone that likes puzzles, and to achievement hunters.

sub-par puzzles. not a good selection of artwork, too messy and low quality images. the other pixel puzzles are better
