Pixel Piracy

This game is a solid "MAYBE" The concept is awesome, the gameplay is very fun, but it is also completely abandoned and has several game-breaking bugs. One annoying one that I've been encountering alot lately (but wasn't encountering years ago for whatever reason) is that my captain will move over to an island and get completely stuck and unable to move. This bug requires you to reload and is VERY frequent. Like I said, years ago this never happened however this game has somehow become less stable has time goes on. Also I originally didn't have VSYNC on and the game REALLY stressed my GPU. No idea how, the graphics are clearly pretty modest, but the game was heating up my GPU to waaay hotter temperatures than I've ever encountered before. Even with VSYNC it heats my GPU a lot more than it really should. If you do buy it, get it on sale.

Its a meh game

很有潜力的游戏，但是听说不更新了，而且也没有中文，玩到中期，不知道是我船太大了还是怎么，总之掠夺了一艘三层大船，大概十五六船员，就会很卡，而且会闪退。

Still a great game, a must have for fans of the genre

Great game, great graphics, fun gameplay that keeps me captured for hours. A little bit silly, a little bit goofy. Cool different weapons and passive items, skills, buffs, etc, Mechanics are okay/good. BUT it's way too buggy for how long it's been out. It's more annoying than anything, graphics/lighting issues, interaction issues, that don't really affect gameplay but will bother you every couple minutes. I'd still recommend giving it a try though, because it is a lot of fun!

I bought pixel privacy just a day after its release 8 years ago on April 24th for $2.49. I had an HP laptop that could barely run this game back then and now it's the year 2023 and I'm finally starting to play. My experience thus far has been great! It's good to see that development has started back up after the developers dropped the game some years back from what I understand. I hope they implement more into the game and fine tune specific functions to improve gameplay. There's a few things that need to be addressed like game setting optimization, a proper tutorial to teach how to use specific functions, better weapon descriptions for stats, when capturing a ship some items that are not food will not transfer over like barrels or items used for training, better scrolling for items when the list it took long because it bugs out on bigger screens and makes it unusable, ship items need a scroll bar to get the items further down the screen as one doesn't exist now, farther zoom function, ect.(lots of things others have mentioned). It's current state is fun and playable so I can safely recommend this game to newcomers. Some things I would like to see more dialogue for the pirates and maybe a frequency of how much or little they talk, singing a sea shanty while sailing of whole idle, the ability to fire canons at a targeted area with varying accuracy, and a bigger shop build limit just for fun. There's other things I may run into but this is it for the most part! Happy sailing ya land lubbers, YARR!
