I want to recommend this game but there's just so much wrong with it: -Randomly drops to 5fps for no reason -Ship building is extremely delayed and laggy -Pirates will starve to death in front of plenty of food -Animals are useless and annoying (Do NOT fill your ship with them you'll never get it cleaned) -Shops have random stock and not all towns have shops so you can go forever without finding the one item you need (like a swimming book because the ai is so dumb they fall into the water A LOT) -It's built like a mobile game and runs like one (why does GTAV Enhanced run better than Pixel Piracy) -Even with the speed ability the traveling is just annoyingly slow considering how frequently you need to go into the pointless traveling cut scene EVERY SINGLE TIME you want to explore anything (like 60% of the gameplay is just waiting for the ship to arrive)

Currently, I would probably buy this on sale, but the game is still a ton of fun imo so if you have $15 burning a hole in your pocket then I would say go for it. The game is receiving regular updates now and almost all of the issues noted in earlier reviews have been fixed. The memory leak is still an issue since the last time I played but saving and restarting the game is a temporary fix to that problem in order to keep long sessions from getting laggy. Drink up me hearties. yo-ho.

This game is very far from being enjoyable. It does not run very well, the control scheme is clunky at best and the voice lines are extremely repetitive. overall it's not something I can recommend spending money on.

I got the game at a discount from making steam badges so I can't complain too to much. It seemed like a good premise at the time. Too many bugs to be playable sadly. Spend your money elsewhere. 0/5

DO not purchase this game. Had a really good feeling about this when i bought it, later to find out it is an abandoned project. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

Game is long dead, website is... definitely not from the developer anymore, and everyone that was involved with creating or working on this game has gone silent. Don't waste your time ***EDIT - 2/4/23 : UPDATE*** : Just came back from a work trip to find multiple comments already on my review; the comments speak truth. This game appears to be... revived! A post was given on the game community, and a patch-heavy update has been rolled out. To give it another fair shake, I'll write a whole new review as soon as I see one more update to ensure it really is back and reactivated for good. Whatever happens, I'm likely keeping the old review up for the historical data. And hilarious irony. EDIT - 2/11/23 : Well, looks like another review will be necessary. EDIT - 7/15/23 : Developer has been working to iron out bugs with patch updates, but not much new feature-wise. What's it selling for these days? 15 bucks... Pfft. Still not convinced me to flip that thumb right-side up
