Hello! My name is Boris, I'm a developer of the Pinecone Game. Apparently, today you threw the 365th pinecone into the well... wow, I'm impressed with your tenacity and sense of purpose. Perhaps you want to know what is the point of that game? This game has no any point. Yes, this is really just a game about throwing a pinecone into a well, that was born from the joke I heared on stand-up show. Anyway, since you are reading this letter, it brought you pleasure, which makes me happy. So, I just wanted to say thank you for supporting Pinecone Game, and I hope you will enjoy my next games. All the best, Frameblade Team & Boris Dombrowski

I was fine with this game until the Dev decided to add an In-Game Store on March 20th this year, actual money can be spent for Pinecoins which you can then buy various furnitures, mostly just Skins for elements that were already there like the bench. I might be too dumb to truly express what my main problem with it is, but there's simply no reason for Microtransactions to be there the way it is now, you're alone on an island that you hardly see for a day at a time as the game is the most basic, he said it himself that "It's just a game where you throw pinecones down a well", along these lines. That doesn't mean he can't add stuff to it either; there are weird "quests" I have yet to get the opportunity to do, but they are seldom and those are there to break the monotony, I even thought the "Capitalism Update" was an early April Fools Joke since it was only 2 weeks away, I really had hoped something would change by then. I've started this journey in December 2023, but after 100 days or so throwing one pinecone at a time, now they're adding a new system that's out-of-touch, but most importantly, I do not agree with, I'm just sick there has to be Microtransactions even in the most basic games, I feel cheated even if I hadn't bought anything really. So far, there's about 10$ worth of items in the store with plans to add more, but already the 2x2 Shelves look so out of place since it feels much more suited for an indoor setting (I think the issue is also there aren't that many themes to play around with), and there are no other means to obtain Pinecoins as of yet, all as the game already has a Supporter DLC. I'm not even sure I would've touched it if I had known this was going to happen. Still, I do commend the game for having been a unique experiment so far, and in retropspect, there may be a missed opportunity there; this game is on a server, and he's quick in fixing connection issues, but it's pretty trivial to have it this way, the only multiplayer component you can touch on is the Leaderboard, although I had seen Ty at the top use a Valley Girl Gura-esque Avatar for a certain time, it was so amusing to stumble upon it and it somewhat renewed my interest, but that's in spite of the current limitations. To go back with the Microtransactions, you may as well try to incorporate them with the online components in a roundabout way, like say a Miiverse-esque feature of sending a message to a random player. If Ty could make my day, then there's maybe the chance for others to do the same in a more organic way. I'm not the one making the game for sure, but it nonetheless soured the mood, I'm hesitant on just stopping despite having spent a third of a year on it.
