For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
4/10 An app that demonstrates Unity physics engine in 3 scenes. Note: press Tab to see controls. You can't really throw objects (only if you rotate while holding an object and release it while still rotating you will throw it a short distance like a mini-trebuchet). Good: - free - scene 3 is actually fun for a while: you can jump down huge ramps. If you've been to an AquaPark that's a pretty similar feeling So-so: - no sfx at all - music is a bit boring - objects have simplistic looks and use a couple similar textures though the cubes have a nice white glow around the edges Bad: - well, essentially no gameplay. The game is just 3 scenes with cubes placed in them + some 3D models like tables and bookcases. You can pick them up, move to topple down stacks of cubes and right click to jump forward. All of this is simply the functionality of the engine, so I'm not sure what the author's role is apart from simply placing the 3D objects. Btw why are all words capitalized in the description? Anyways, it's an app that can be fun for a couple minutes. But it's simply not enough to be a game. And without a button to throw objects it's not even much fun as a sanbdox. So it's rather a downvote.

[th]I'm a Steam curator, you can follow me[/th]

Physics Lab isn't a game, it's a simple low poly VR tech demo, an empty sandpit of a non-game environment. You can knock over some blocks and throw things around, but there's no driving reason for anyone to want to, because this isn't a game. The first rule of VR design: If the only thing that makes your VR software "cool" is VR compatibility, then that just means VR is cool, and not your software. For those unfamiliar with what actually makes something a game, a "game loop" describes the interaction and feedback a gamer has when playing a game. Tetris, for example, has a game loop where a random block appears, the gamer interacts with the block to position it, and then the game decides if that finishes a row or not, increases the players score if any rows were completed, then gives the gamer another block to position. Counter-Strike has a game loop where a player seeks another player, tests their skill against that player by shooting them or being shot, the computer rewards the player if they win, and then if the player survives, they repeat that loop. There's no loop here, no true interactive feedback. It simply is not a game, it cannot be "played". The software features lazy minimalist/untextured low-polygon "retro" assets and visuals, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the early 1990s. The lack of textures is a method that lazy devs often use to disguise their lack of talent/interest in doing the graphics properly and trying to disguise it under the name of "art", or "We made it look bad on purpose", which really isn't something gamers should have to put up with. It's unclear why the developers weren't willing to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets and high resolution textures for the software. It looks bad as a result of their decisions, and that's just another reason to avoid it. The software features no proper level design or game/story flow/plot, and while some game formats can be ameniable to this, they must be truly exceptional, where this is not. The developers of this software made the deliberate, arguably lazy choice to avoid doing the most important component of game development, content creation, and instead made this an empty "sandbox" game with no goals or point to playing. The developer hopes gamers can just make their own fun without them having to do any work for it. And sure... a sandbox could be fun, if it had a bunch of things to do like a bucket and space to make sandcastles... but this software doesn't give you much. It's just a box of sand. There's a good chance the software won't be appealing because of this laziness/lack of effort from the developer. These technical defects push this software below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. So, should you download this software? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ products on Steam? Physics Lab has no upfront cost, but just because something doesn't have a price tag doesn't mean it's valuable. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.

Physics Lab is a free VR experience. It worked on my Index and HTC Vive and Meta Quest 3 via Steam Link system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Has 15 steam achievements. You have to download the free DLC in Store to get VR to work. Maybe ok to try, if you are interested with simple physics experiments.
For a free game, absolutely worth your time! The best part is that you don't need a supercomputer to run it. It'll still play with good graphics and a high frame rate on an average laptop. The worst part is the lack of arsenal. For a physics based game I would at least expect a flamethrower or rocket launcher rather than just picking up and throwing them. still an interesting game with cool maps, 7.5/10
Works fine on Oculus / Meta Quest 2. Isn't much of a game though, rather a very simple sandbox
I am constantly going backwards. Idk why but the backwards key is like always pressed
