As soon as this game came out. I made a video on it and told my subscribers, and the dev team everything i didn't like about this game. (which was alot) It had alot of problems that needed fixing. One of the people on the dev team commented on my video with some positive feedback. 2 days later i see an update with all of the bad things i mentioned fixed. It is great to see team listen to their fans/supporters. Thankyou for making the game better!
This game in nice, if you play it on EPIC settings. Other setting don't really work properly (especially medium ones). :( Anyway the graphics looks nice, looks like it was made by AAA studio, the atmosphere is great, you can feel the scariness in the air :D Also the plot is interesting, though you don't really know what is it all about. The voice acting is horrible for me, it is only in portuguese (luckily there are english subtitles) also it is very poorly done :( The soundtrack is nice and it enhances the whole experience a lot :D I recommend that game, but the in responsible price. If it is -50% take it without a doubt.
A detecção é frustrante.
Too dark, too unforgiving, too typical, too boring... Monsters are spawning right in front of you. No possibility to remap keys, so i spent half of a day to remap keys using .ini file by hands. Devs are not answering to players questions and issues in message topics. I see no reason to play it more. Delete...
The review for the game is from what i've played and seen so far and might change once i finish off the game. Pesadelo is really a bit of a mixed bag of goods, but taken it's from an indie developer and a very small team, they have created a a nice litle title. Game uses UT4-engine and the graphics are really great, i'm not too deep into the game yet, but i do hope there are more elements to be found though. Gameplay on it's own was pretty simple to pick up, go from place a to place b to pick up quests, complete the objective and return. On this personally i would've hoped some more sidequests and so on, since the areas are quite huge and i hope developer will put those into good use later on to provide more excitement. Only two things which i've had some problems with. Firstly, it's kind of weird to start up the game and completing tasks when i have absolutely no idea on the backstory of this character (I hope it'll come up eventually) And secondly voiceacting. It might be that i'm not just customed to hear portuguese, but i can't feel charisma or any emotions on the voiceacting so it brings down the atmosphere a bit. All in all, what i've seen so far, it's quite alright. Just have to get time to actually finish the game
It's a decent game, but there are some things that put me off.

Enemy Spawns / Detection You'll be sprinting through an open point of the map with nothing in sight, when suddenly, *PLOP* an enemy spawns right in front of you. The only way to avoid these is to quickly crouch before they can detect you. The detection is frustrating. I could be crouching around an enemy and you're about 15-20 feet behind him. However, if I stood up (didn't move, just let go of ctrl.) he would turn around and head in my direction.
Sounds The game is usually somewhat quiet, but when the radio plays or during some speech, the volume shoots up and is insanely loud, especially with the TV in the beginning.
Instructions There are some parts when I could sort of guess what I was supposed to do, but certain parts I had no idea what I was doing and eventually just game up. If there was a control to pop the mission(goal) back up every once in a while just to remember what you're doing, that would be great.
Achievements A few of the achievements seem broken or something. I had definitely died more than 5 times in my gameplay and after exiting the main gate it game me three at once. (That Smell, Nothing Behind, and Walkman) Not sure if the achievements are bugged, but just notifying anyone interested.
Closing Sometimes after I exit the game, the task doesn't end for a minute or more, so I have to go into task manager to end it manually. Not a big deal, but it's just odd.
I didn't really enjoy the experience so I don't think I could recommend it, but it's not too bad of a game and would maybe be worth $5 if you don't have a problem with any of the above,
Recomendo.
This is a tough one to review. On the one hand I am a massive horror fan and so I am a little biased to always review horror games like this positively. On the other hand however I have spent quite a bit of time playing this game now and at times I have found the game infuriating. Whilst I am no stranger to horror games where avoidance/escape are your only means of defence, if a monster spots you in this game it is very difficult to get away from it... In fact you're probably more likely to run into another and before you know it you have 3 monsters chasing you. This in itself isn't a massive issue, but the save system of this game sometimes means that you can find yourself being unavoidably killed and having to replay 10-20 mins of the game. In all fairness this is very much the way games used to be and in old school horror the threat of dying before reaching a save point added to the thrill and horror... In this game however, it's just been frustrating. The gameplay is a little clunky in places but on the whole, not too bad. Graphics are decent but by no means great. Voice acting is all in portuguese (unless I've missed an option to change this to English somewhere) so I can't really comment on how good or bad this is but it sounds okay. The ambience of the game is pretty good. Enemy design is one of the biggest weakpoints of the game. The enemies are pretty much all the same and don't look that intimidating to be honest... just typical human style monsters. Storyline from what I've played so far is fairly generic and nothing to write home about. All in all this isn't a BAD game... But it's not GOOD game either. As a horror fan I may have been inclined to give this game a positive review, but certain factors have left a bad taste in my mouth and I just can't bring myself to do it. I got this game on sale and for me, it was worth it for the price I paid. But at full price, even for a massive horror fan like myself, I think this game is overpriced by quite a bit. If you see it on sale at under £1 and you're a fan of horror then I would recommend getting it just to fill a couple of hours but otherwise I can't recommend this title.
4/10
[EN]
It Had Potential...
Ok, soooooo I had mixed feelings about this game at first, I didn't know if I was going to recommend it or not, because... I liked the inventory mechanics, you can see that they are heavily inspired by Resident Evil, even the way we save the game. It had some puzzles here and there. You have to look for items, and the fight with the priest is easy once you find out what you exactly need to do. They talk a bit about Brazilian folklore, and I really liked that idea. The voice acting and animations are meh, but I understand because this is from a small company (that sadly closed not too long ago), so these are not a big issue. The main issue is how the game was poorly executed, and this is what made me NOT recommend it. It got boring sometimes, and the AI of the creatures was hella stupid, but sometimes they would spawn right on our asses, making it hard to escape. We cannot remap the keys, not in-game. The bugs - some of them were too stupid, like when I would get attacked on the loading screen and die, or when the rendering of some objects would take a while sometimes. But even so, I played it just fine in the first three levels until I got to the school level. It's not just creatures in hallways: it's a woman who spawns randomly and summons one of them to go after me; it's the killer who randomly spawns behind me, although he was slow, it forced me have to run way back because I was cornered by the other two creatures; and there is also a mysterious guy who draws traps that kill us. So, I got bored, I found some of these mechanics annoying, and I kept trying to progress, but these entities would randomly spawn at the most inconvenient moments. I just got tired of it. All of this was what made me give up, and it's sad because this game had potential. [PT]
Tinha Potencial...
Simplesmente cansei-me.
