So... I have mixed feelings about this game. I am going to be as honest as possible. I enjoyed this game, and I would recommend it to those who like a short and sweet experience, but I do have my gripes and I feel the need to speak abt that. I felt like I hoped this game would give me more than it did based on the joy I had playing the demo compared to the full game. I think this has fun game elements, nice visuals, rewarding gameplay. It's a fun game for the most part! It's nice to see the money roll in with more and more every run and it's always interesting to see what a new peg or ball does. My favourite is the watermelon. having said that... I do feel like this game isn't for everyone. Perhaps, myself included. Sadly, the gameplay becomes very ... 'Just get it over with' when you're about halfway through all the upgrades. I'm almost at the end/maxing out everything and I genuinely am falling asleep attempting to finish it. You end up with a LOT of balls once you upgrade that a bunch and it starts to genuinely feel like a chore to shoot them all out. Starting out is very engaging, since you have to actually sort of 'aim' to hit the special pegs. However, as you gain more special pegs and interesting balls, this 'aiming' part just kinda... disappears. If you hit one peg, chances are you'll just activate all the others in a chain reaction. This isn't inherently bad in itself, but it takes away the active participation aspect at least for me. No matter where you hit the board, it's likely you'll hit the specials you want. I also find myself not caring much about many upgrades. A lot of them are just 'more of x' and it's a bit boring. There's little variety. (I had thought there'd be a 'multiple portals' upgrade , or perhaps a 'wild portal upgrade' that would drop them on random places on the board again. Stuff I'd personally put in, yk. Perhaps also more interesting baskets, maybe some kind of risk factor where if you land a 'bad' basket you lose all money gained with that ball. Just an idea.) I also griped bad about the power ups part... They feel rather useless, you collect them pretty damn fast and the 'earn power ups faster' perk feels... pointless? At first I thought there was a reason for this perk, perhaps the PWR ups would upgrade in the same manner that the pegs do, bc they're green (green to purple to gold yk) as u collect more. But... being almost at the end of the game, I have not encountered any PWR up upgrade so I'm assuming it's not there. I'm not trying to bash the game or call it bad, not at all! It's a nice game! But it has bits and pieces that won't let me call it anything more than 'nice'. A neat esperience, but not that fulfilling or engaging as I'd hoped. Falling asleep while playing it is unfortunately quite a domper for me, haha. Probably just me though.
